About
The Preserve at Verdae sprawls across a lush landscape of rolling hills and meadows covered with beautiful Carolina forests. Formerly known as Verdae Greens, the golf course was completely revamped but one of the primary goals of the renovation was to find harmony between golf and nature. The carefully reworked course does just that, blending seamlessly into its scenic surroundings. Rambling brooks wander across the layout and provide water hazards on a few holes. The wind is also a major factor on this golf course. The breezes can be either light and refreshing or strong and blustery, making proper club selection even more important. The most photographed hole on the golf course is the par-3 second. If you're lucky enough to come when the azaleas are blooming, this hole offers a breathtaking setting.

Tough Course
Great day of golf. Got teamed up with a twosome and a single. I play this course about 4 times a year. It's very tight and long for me from the whites. What makes it tough is there are allot of blind shots in this layout, which if you don't play it often, you'll have no idea where to hit your ball. Conditions were great for this time of year, and the staff was excellent. They could use a few more options for food.

Challenging golf course
Preserve at Verdae was in very good shape, especially the greens! The fairways were healthy and nicely maintained..I would recommend this course to almost any experienced golfer. This course could be too difficult for beginners or high handicapers.

Great golf course but SSSLLLOOOWWW play!
This is an excellent golf course, with a very challenging lay out and the fairways and greens are in great shape. Off the fairway, not so much. If you choose to play durrng the week in the morning, do not get behind the senior groups that tee off 8:30 - 9:40am. If you do, you are looking at 5+ hour round. Club house staff are SUPER friendly as are most of starters. There are no rangers to manage pace of play.

well kept
One of the best courses i have played in the area. Pace was a little slower than i like, but enjoyed everything about the course.

Need a ranger
Tight layout, greens are in very good shape. Too many layups/quirky holes. Pace of play is terrible. Haven't played here in over a year and now I remember why, every time the same problem. Tee off time was 820am 4hours into to the round and we skipped the 2 groups on 14. No one left on the course ahead of them, never saw a ranger. These 2 groups had the whole course backed up

Play if you have all day
And only if you have all day. Took 2.5 hours to make the turn on a late morning, mid-week tee time. Went to the pro shop to give feedback, only to be met with “wish we had the manpower to enforce pace of play” as two staff were in there seemingly doing nothing.
