Lots to fix
Understanding the strain that the amount of rain that fell in this area in the last couple of months can have on golf course conditions, I still think Legacy Pines was in pretty rough shape. No discernible difference between fairway and rough and some of the tee boxes were without any grass at all. The greens, however, were in remarkably good condition and rolled nicely.
Pace of play was a slow, but I chalk that up to a FIVESOME two groups ahead of us. There was also a fivesome behind us. Whose idea was it to allow fivesomes on the course on a weekend midday? In my opinion, this is tremendously bad policy.
I think we'll look for a different course to play, the next time we're in the area.
the course will let the average player fill good about his game
Good for beginner players
I’m still relatively new to golf and this course is a little more open and can be more forgiving and it was great
Fun layout
Still early spring/winter so fairways still brown. Greens in good condition and sand traps well groomed. Course layout is fun.
Good track for the cash
The pace of play was great. The course has been rained on for weeks and only had a few wet spots not draining well. They’re making course improvements and I am excited to see what will be different the next time.
Great place, horrible pace
This is a great and fun course. Always enjoyable to come play here, yet with it being the day after Christmas it was very busy and we had to wait on every tee box. Having a ranger encouraging faster play would go a long way. Other than that, this is a great place to come visit and play. Will be back.
Owner showed up
Great day with family and owner Mr Bershank showed up on 10 and showed the southern hospitality that GGreenville is know for. Very appreciative that we were there and was concerned for our enjoyment. Will come back often. Kids enjoyed also. Great to see someone who loves the game some much invested in promoting the game to everyone. Thank
Legacy Pines
Greens in excellent condition very fast. Wide fairways with forgiving rough. Tough par 3’s. I played from the gold tees good test for seniors.
Played with a local member which was helpful for our first round here. Lots of players so a bit slow, but it was a beautiful day so we did not mind. Greens were in great shape. Average for a public course.
A golf course very well under the radar in the upstate area. Each time playing this course I realize the subtleness and at times frustrating only to realize my handicap.
Not for a long time.
I knew that it was going be a long round when there was a line of six carts at the first tee an they were all together. They broke up into three carts Pairings and drug the rest of us behind them through the eighteen holes.they were teeing of from the gold tees and they needed to be up at the red ones. The worst part about it all the course let them do this. This is not the first time for this practice.#hadenough#neverreturn
Great Condition
Course is great shape as always
They have done alot of work on this course in the past year
Staff is always friendly
Pleasantly suprised
This was my second time playing this course in three days. I’m from out of town and this was close by and a good value at the last minute. Fairways and greens were VERY nice- especially for the price you play. Greens were spectacular and FAST. The course looks short on paper but has lots of holes where the green is 20-40 yards above or below your lie so it was a different challenge for me and made it fun. There were some bare spots here and there but it wasn’t really on the fairways, more on the right or left side roughs but they were few and far between. To the crew I say keep up the good work. Haven’t played a course for that price in that good of condition in a very long time. Only downside is that the range is limited to irons so I couldn’t make adjustments before teeing off.
