Scenic Course (but could use some maintenance)
Recent play @ Patriots Point comments: while a scenic and decent course,
- prior rains made for Cart Path only play
- no beverage cart on course
- cart paths are in need of repair in certain spots
- golf carts could use upgrading (slow, no electronic screens)
- need to spray and warn of red ant piles on course! 2 of the 3 players were in a pile a few times!

Fun and approachable course
Enjoyed playing here. Great course with a fun layout and good waterway views. It felt a bit like they stack groups on the first tree so we felt rushed most of the time. Bachelor parties are common here so don’t be surprised if you find yourself waiting all the time while they take shots.

Didn't meet expectations
First time playing the course and there were absolutely no warnings about damage to the course or course condition in general. We got to the course and the staff is very kind and helpful but the course was completely torn up. The fairways looked like the had waves through them and the greens had sand all over them. The cart paths look like they were attacked by a sledge hammer. It was not at all what we expected and was more than we expected to pay for. I would not play or recommend this course again.

Not worth the money
Fairways were terrible. Like driving on a wash board. General condition very poor
Rental clubs for $50 bucks, no bargain.
Would not recommend it .

It's a waste of money for $79.
It's a waste of money for $79. Course is probably a $25 course. Very little maintenance being performed on this course. Fire ants all over the course with mountains of ants as you get out of your cart to walk up on the tee boxes . Then to top it off they won't let you take the carts into the parking lot. Maybe they need to pay their staff more money so they don't have to worry about trying to get it from you again as you bring the cart in.

They could be so much better
Driving up to this course it looks spectacular. Scenic views of the ocean, a nice range and practice facility, and an open layout. All you sense is some concern about the wind. Then you start playing the course. Its pretty clear that the owners have skimped on maintenance. Most of the greens were very very furry with a couple freshly mowed to mess up your perception of the pace of putting. In many cases the greens were in need of repair. By far the biggest problem is the condition of the fairways. They are very very very uneven. Bumps, divots, holes everywhere and the grass is in bad shape. Driving the golf cart down the fairway shook our clubs out of the bag. Its tolerable to have a bumpy rough but fairways are supposed to be smooth or at least readable from a distance. If course management would dedicate some effort to maintaining the tees, greens, and fairways they would have a much better course. As it stands now the condition of the course does not justify the greens fee. They will make do with summer tourists but its likely they will be abandoned in the off season.

Over Rated Harbor Course
Club house is nice, they are setup with a great practice facility, with great views of the Charleston Harbor on holes 17 and 18, unfortunately that is where the positive stops.
First thing I noticed was that after every interaction with an employee they say "My Pleasure". It's like being bombarded at the golf course by a bunch of Chick Filet employees. Obviously they had been instructed to do this by the management. While I understand the gesture behind it it was a bit much.
Now if you think that you ever get one of their golf carts into the parking lot, you are crazy. The bag boys stand guard and make sure that all golfers follow their strict rules and you must drop off or walk up your golf bag. No big deal except when they load your bag, they rush and strap it in half a**, so that you have to readjust your bag, towel, ect. from the bag strap. My thought is if you're going to make people use your service and tip your bag boys, then they should at least know how to do their job correctly and earned the tip instead of expecting the tip. Playing the chorus is like any city course, Muni, you would find across the country. Fairways are in decent shape, greens were good and true, but nothing over the top except the two holes mentioned above. My thought is save your money, Charleston has much nicer and challenging golf courses around. If you are looking for a view go hang out on Shem Creek...

$70 for a mediocre muni on a weekday
3 staff stood around and watched me unload my bag. Great start. Once I paid, they watched me put my bag on a cart. No help-however when I finished the round, a staff member chased me into the parking lot to ‘wipe down my clubs’...c’mon!
Course layout had us bored, the primary defense is length. Greens were inconsistent speed. Fairways were ridiculously bumpy. Basic muni stuff and I’d be cool with it if it was priced appropriately.
I recommend this course if you catch a deal under $40.

This Links style course in the heart of Charleston offers beautiful tee shots and a fun challenge from back tees. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hard to beat the price and views of Patriots Point. 10/10 would play again
