Improvements in Progress
Love the classic layout of this course. Very easy to walk. New ownership is doing a tremendous job of improving this course. New cart paths and new clubhouse under construction. Course is always in great condition. I drive an hour to play. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
a little ruff at the moment
Much work is being done on the course, with no notice to players. One hole completely closed another with workers in the middle of the fairway and a trench across the fairway.
I understand, but feel they should be telling us what the conditions are. The clubhouse nor the starter even mentioned it to my group.
The tee boxes are as ruff as I have seen them in a long while, many not even in use, need sand in the bunkers badly.
But the greens are in good shape and the fairways show signs of greening up soon.
I absolutely love W.P. golf course but she is a little ragged at the moment.
Better and Better
With the new owners the course is getting better every time I go. Greens are rolling great. We played in under 4 hours.
Need To Use Tee Times and a Marshall
The pace was slow because they just don't utilize tee times for all players and allow players on when it causes delays and disruptions to those who have correctly secured a tee time. It takes a lot from the enjoyment of a good round experience.
Value
This course is in great shape. They are constantly making improvements. Staff is always friendly.
under construction currently
love white plains, this particular time, the course was in shabby condition due to weather conditions and it was the holidays with lots of people playing.
The construction is a new club house and cart barn, but meanwhile the temp bathrooms and trailer are not ideal. You must break a few eggs to bake a cake, it will be great when completed.
Great Value
They are redoing the clubhouse and some of the course, and it looks like it is going to be a nice upgrade. GPS on carts are great. Greens in good shape.
Quickly becoming one of the best around
We’ve watched this course absolutely explode this past year, the owner has an amazing vision and has been executing it flawlessly - if you told me one year ago this would be my new favorite course I wouldn’t have believed it but what an upgrade! Honestly one of the most fun and best bang for the buck courses to play around
