Golfer Reviews
Gonna Be Great
White Plains in Pageland, SC is undergoing a lot of renovations at the moment. From a brand new club house to a new irrigation system. This means the course isn’t getting enough water to it, and certain areas are starting to become barren in the fairways. The tee boxes will also need to be redone soon as it is extremely difficult to get a tee in the ground. However, the pace of play and the greens still being in good shape makes this still a value. In a year the course will be in excellent shape.
tee box
The worst part was the tee boxes. So hard i couldn't get my tee in ground.
Fairway grass was sparse.
Big renovation and irritating going on, so I'd wait till that's done in a year.
construction zone
I love WP golf course but it's a mess right now. it's noisy with all the big equipment, and the construction of the clubhouse. The ground is tore up, the 3rd hole was closed. They are installing irrigation it looks like. It will be nice when completed. All that is understandable
However, the Tee boxes are in terrible shape several are artificial mats currently, the bunkers were neatly raked but hardly any sand and FULL of rocks 😵💫
overall i was disappointed to pay full price for a course in this current state.
give it a little time and i am sure it will improve, but for right now.....
Secret gem of a course
Come on down to Pageland to play this awesome course, you’ll be glad you did!
Improvements in Progress
Love the classic layout of this course. Very easy to walk. New ownership is doing a tremendous job of improving this course. New cart paths and new clubhouse under construction. Course is always in great condition. I drive an hour to play. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
a little ruff at the moment
Much work is being done on the course, with no notice to players. One hole completely closed another with workers in the middle of the fairway and a trench across the fairway.
I understand, but feel they should be telling us what the conditions are. The clubhouse nor the starter even mentioned it to my group.
The tee boxes are as ruff as I have seen them in a long while, many not even in use, need sand in the bunkers badly.
But the greens are in good shape and the fairways show signs of greening up soon.
I absolutely love W.P. golf course but she is a little ragged at the moment.
Need To Use Tee Times and a Marshall
The pace was slow because they just don't utilize tee times for all players and allow players on when it causes delays and disruptions to those who have correctly secured a tee time. It takes a lot from the enjoyment of a good round experience.
