Very Unwelcoming
Played a lot of courses in and around Charlotte. From the sarcasm of the gentleman in the pro sho to the very disturbing comments yelled from a vehicle driving down the highway nearby. This place definitely let me know they don't want any of my money and I will make sure not to return!
Tee boxes are in really really bad shape.
Greens are okay, some bald spots but mostly in good condition.

Overall a nice course. Few rough spots but greens are good. Picturesque. Challenging. Two greens are almost unputtable. We play take 2 putts and go on those. Good food.
Good for what you pay.
If you are expecting a course to blow you away by how it looks you will be upset. On the plus side this course is a great layout with challenging holes. Staff is friendly and for playing in winter golf, I was happy with our round. This course is a fun course to go play with your buddies and enjoy a good time! Due to it being February the greens are a little long but expected during this time of the year. I would recommend this course.
Spring Lake CC Review
Enjoyed round of golf on a cold day! A decent course to play. Fairways leaves a little to be desired! Bunkers could use attention. Greens were not the green type many of the courses we play but I assume its the type of greens
they sow. Ball rolled decent but a lot slower than ones I'm use to. Even with that being said, I'll play it again.
Weekday Must
This is my third time playing Spring Lake Country Club. Had a tee time at 10:20, and I was finished at 12:30. (Yes, I play fast, and yes I played well today)
Layout is enjoyable for golfers of all abilities, with some unique holes sprinkled in. Back is much more forgiving than the front.
Course is dormant at the moment, but I love a dormant look. Greens are dormant, but they are smooth and true.
Enjoyed it all three times so far! I’ll of course be back!
Booking Error
I thought I was booking another course with Lakes in its name. I tried to cancel and rebook, but was unable to do this. We played the course and enjoyed the round. I played this course over 30 years ago. I would like to play it again.
First and last time
If you keep your ball in the fairway this ain’t the place for you . Pace of play is horrible’.
