About
This is a well-conceived, challenging, yet playable course, with a good reputation among local golfers.
Water comes into play on quite a few holes. The fairways are relatively wide, but it will help to play your shot carefully. A few bunkers lurk in the fairways, ready to create trouble. There are also some greens that require well-placed shots over water from uneven lies. Overall, this is a well thought out, fun and thoroughly worthwhile course.
Peter Tufts, (the gentleman who designed the course), was the godson of Donald Ross and the Ross influence is obvious throughout.

Greens were good and course is worth playing
It is a nc golf course with sand showing in some areas. It is not a Pinehurst manicured course but very enjoyable for the first time playing. It must have been a wonderful layout when it was first built but has a little wear. Got great deal on GN , 41$. Other reviews made me almost not book it but glad I did. Course has some beautiful views everywhere.

Had a pleasant experience despite the hot day. Course is in great shape. Nothing negative to say.
Has potential
The course has great potential and is very challenging while remaining fun. But there is a good deal of construction taking place. The club house is being remodeled and the pro shop is a shipping container. They are charging prices for an established course, and it’s just not there yet. I am looking forward to returning when the work is done in order to get the real experience
Okay, but slow
My guess is the ranger is scared to tell members to pick up their pace of play. 7:54 tee time should not be that backed up/ slow. Did see the ranger a few times, which is great but only if he owns a watch and a spine.
Great for the price
Great layout and good conditions. Fairways and greens recently punched, but still very good conditions. Some tee boxes were a little burned out, but green all other areas. Excellent course for the price ($60)
Course was wet and it was cart path only but thought the layout was fun and challenging. Pace of play was awesome probably due to the morning rain. Overall good experience. The uphill shot into 18 plays at least 2 clubs longer than the yardage!!!
