Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Not too crowded for a Friday

Not too crowded for the Friday before Christmas. Fairways were in good shape, so were the greens although a little slow. There was even water in the lakes that were previously dry, and the areas that used to be quite soggy were not. Very much improved from when I played here last year.

Very private, scenic, atmosphere.

The fellas and I had a great time and our tee time worked out perfectly in completing our round before dark. This track is one of my favorite local courses and for the layout/price, you can't go wrong.

Great value for the money

I played here on a Saturday morning, booked on Friday night. Course is very good value, and greens are in great shape. Tee boxes are a mess and a few fairways need some work. But overall, for a last minute booking under $80, I loved it and will proably play there again.

The course was fun to play

The course was fun to play and had some of the most challenging par 3 holes from the blue tee's. Do not expect a pristine course as it is in need of continued re-conditioning. The price is right for the conditions.

Challenging course for any ability

Camarillo Springs is a good course that is getting better. The course right now is going through some renovations. The main problem I see is with some of the greens. The greens are rough and some areas are just scabby. I hope to see the greens renovated some day as this would be a great improvement. Overall Camarillo Springs is a nice place to play with lots of challenges.

A lot of potential but needs work.

The fairways are in bad shape, the bunkers need sand, and the water hazards need water in them. It looks like they are working on fixing up the course but have a long way to go.

Even though we were playing in sometimes light rain, it was awesome. The course has many challenging holes, some long ones, water hazards and forgivin

It was a fun course to play. Last time I was there was a couple of years ago and for the money, they keep it really nice and very visually plesant.

It's Always A Pleasure To PLay This COurse

Its always nice to play with just another on an open course. This is a good course that has its challenges, but not terrible. Some of the fairways are a little dried out, and of course the geese add to the scenery. The course is always fun to play and rarely too crowded to finish in 4 hours.

Not a bad course for the money.

Greens fees are reasonable. Pace of play can be a bit grinding at times. Course is built on an underground spring, so some wafting of interesting smells on some holes. Tee boxes were fertilized with manure without prior notice. All in all, not a bad course.

Camarillo Springs or Bust!

Had a friend come out last minute from Connecticut and needed to set up a tee time post haste. Jumped on Golf Now & found several options but wanted a cool temp environment so chose Camarillo Springs. It's like three different courses: first 6 holes are my favorite because of the beautiful view of the course against the steep cliffs & water. The second six take you through and around some nice Sycamore tree-lined terrain edged by homes. And, the final six, if windy are the most challenging with a great finishing hole dog-legging left near a lake! Saweeet!

One of the best tracks in the area

We had a great afternoon 18 holes. The weather was bad so the place was not crowded. Friendly staff. I will play here again and again.
