Forest Hill Golf Course

The greens played like they hadn't been cut in 5 days; they were soft and slow. Fairways with any trees nearby were littered with sticks and tree branch fragments blown out by a storm 6 days prior, and they must have just mowed over them instead of picking them up. The course has a ton of potential because of the hills and general layout of the holes, but the grounds were in terrible condition for the hype I've seen about this course.

This course has a lot of potential. Fun layouts, not too difficult, and friendly staff. But the condition of the course, especially the greens, is poor. Parts of greens were almost completely dead with a lot of sand on them to even them out. Surrounding the greens were what looked to be old grass clippings that have browned and clumped together. I have played the course when it was in better condition than this but it has never been a solid course condition-wise. If you can get a good deal, it's a fun course to play because of the hills and layout, but don't expect anything special with the greens.

Such a fun course to play, with perfect greens! After playing the course over 20 times I still pass 4 other courses on my way to it. Mostly because it is owned by someone who takes great pride in keeping it in the shape it is in. This is worth the drive and every penny! Thank you Forest Hill for such a wonderful Course!

Fairway needs work green was good but if your ball is in the rough, good luck finding it, lost 4 balls in the 1st cut, the ball won't sit up on the grass at all

You gotta play this course. This is a great course.

Course is in good shape, greens are very nice. Staff was very accommodating and friendly, Definitely great value and worth the drive. Don't expect any fancy clubhouse with any fancy meals, just good solid quality.

for winter conditions fairways and greens were in great shape

The owner of this course represents the character of this Jewell! Challenging and fun during the winter season so I can't wait to play this Gem during the peak season!

Nice course for price..many holes have blind shots .. so, go up and look first !! greens were PGA fast and in excellent shape.. several dead elephants buried in em so gotta hit greens on correct spot !!.. if you miss on wrong side of hole no shot to get close... some parts of rough were unforgiving.. better hit fairways here..met the owner /builder Hiroshi.. great guy he has def put in some time and money to make golfing here in Memphis area a treat... I play this course often because it is close to home and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and it is not usually crowded. I have played the course with a buddy in about 2.5 hours ( and we're not good, ~20 hdcp ). Lots of woods so if you're not accurate, bring plenty of balls. Overall, a good value and fun to play.

The course is fun and challenging but the greens need to be cleaned before the course opens every day. There are way to many grass clippings left on the greens. Overall though it is a fun course to play.

It's a little drive from Memphis but you won't be disappointed. Fun & challenging

no grass on fairways - cart paths were in poor condition

This course is secluded and serene. Greens are immaculate. Fairways could use some work but the effort put in keeping the greens makes the greens exceptional.

This is a good course for the money, cart paths need help for sure. There is no water any on the course so bring your own drinks or pick some up in the club house. The greens are in great shape the fairway are well keep. The grounds keep could probably leave the grass in the fairways just longer so golfers could get under the ball better without have to dig into the dirt. I course layout is excellent for beginners or the average weekend golfer, most of us are not pros. Over all it was good for the money I have paid a lot more for courses that were not this good.

This course was such a beautiful course. The view from the club house is amazing. The course is a little hilly, but in my opinion I like the challenge. This course is surrounded by woods with a lot of wildlife running about. So not only so you get to enjoy golfing, but you get to enjoy the outdoors as well. This course deserves 5 stars. Ill defiantly will be playing again.

COURSE WAS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, GREENS WERE EXTREMLY QUICK WITH SOME VERY CHALLENGING HOLE LOCATIONS. ALWAYS ENJOY VISITING FOREST HILLS.

As always the staff is super friendly. They are always willing to accomadate. My partner and I enjoy playing at this golf course better than any other. The greeens are in excellent condition for this time of year.

I enjoyed the course, my only complaint is that the rough needs to be shorter, it shouldn't take 10 minutes to find a golf ball that is barely out of the fairway that I know where it landed. Overall, I enjoyed the course and maybe I played just before the rough was cut.
