About

Sleepy Hollow Golf Course is the top municipal course in the state and it is also ranked as one of the top 20 in the nation. Overlooking the Cuyahoga River Valley, the course is known for its scenery almost as much as its challenging layout. It has a traditional design with a classic "out-and-in" routing, with the incoming holes playing uphill into the wind, making them seem much longer than the indicated yardage. Golfers might be taken aback by the punishing nature of the golf course. There are 58 bunkers strategically placed around the tough greens, which comprise the main challenges of the course. Get ready to be quickly introduced to the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course's formidability with the lengthy second hole, a par 3 that will test even the longest hitters.

Great course... fair and challenging

Average rating though because it took 5.5 hours for our 3some to do 18... pace of play was terrible.

Although the course is probably the best we've played this year (out of 9 different courses), It is very well kept, lush and beautiful, I would hesitate going back/recommending solely because of the pace of play.

Holes 1-12 are somewhat more challenging than normal... holes 13-18 better have an 'A' game because they are difficult.

Beautiful Course - not for first timers

I just started playing golf this year and this was a beautiful course compared to some of the others I've been too. Very challenging greens. I would love to come back and try again now that I've gone out 5 more times since then to see if I could do better.

My only negative was that we set a tee time for two and spent $50 each only to arrive and find that we got paired off with another twosome. Luckily they were a good group. They definitely should've let us known this up front.

Nice layout

Love the course, good condition other than some fairways having clumpy grass from morning cut. Greens challenging, rolled nice. This is a “for sure need to play” course.
