Sleepy Hollow Golf Course is the top municipal course in the state and it is also ranked as one of the top 20 in the nation. Overlooking the Cuyahoga River Valley, the course is known for its scenery almost as much as its challenging layout. It has a traditional design with a classic "out-and-in" routing, with the incoming holes playing uphill into the wind, making them seem much longer than the indicated yardage. Golfers might be taken aback by the punishing nature of the golf course. There are 58 bunkers strategically placed around the tough greens, which comprise the main challenges of the course. Get ready to be quickly introduced to the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course's formidability with the lengthy second hole, a par 3 that will test even the longest hitters.

Sleepy hollow
Course was in good condition, cart path only. Will definitely be back in 2019 in dryer conditions.
metro park course
really nice golf course the green fees are ridiculous for a metro course this is the only time of year to play it with a golf now discount t time
Overrated
Not a bad course but definitely not worth the price or the slow pace that is usually there. Fairways were what I call baldheaded. Way too tight. Bunkers were not well taken care of. Layout is just ok. Prices are way to high for this course. Senior rate in October was almost $40. I personally wont be back unless theres a hot deal.
Still a challenging GC
Some sand traps removed, but still a difficult course.
A Great Course at a Great Price
I was in Cleveland for a few days visiting friends and I found out that we could play Metroparks courses designed by my two favorite course designers, Donald Ross and Stanley Thompson. I was ecstatic.
Sleepy Hollow, designed by Thompson, was excellent. The course rolls through the river valley and there really isn't a hole without some sort of elevation change. It was beautiful. It was hard. It was fair. Good shots were rewarded, bad shots punished, and if you tried a risk-reward and missed, you were punished severely.
This is an awesome course that is very well maintained and is a great value for the dollar. I will play here every time I visit Cleveland.
staff
The staff at here was mean and always yelling at the golfer. When the staff yells at golfer its about everything and everything. Plus when i book a round of golf i like to play by my self. I hate it when they pair me up with someone.
Bring your A game
A great course, especially liked the beer girl. This course will challenge most but such great conditions, large greens and interesting elevation changes. Whenever I want to be humbled for my golf I come here helps me move my game up.
Fantastic Metro-Course!
Came to Cleveland for a weekend getaway and found a gem of a course to play 18. Wide open fairways, beautiful scenery, but tough greens. Listen to the Starter! Course was in great shape!
Nice layout
Challenging Course. Elevation changes tricky. Lot of slope to greens. Speed a tad slow.great layout, not a lot of room for error.
Nice value. Relaxing atmosphere
Visiting on business. Course was a little wet from recent rain, but was still allowed to drive the cart off the path. Friendly staff. The beverage cart was always there when I was ready. Challenging greens. The notes about each hole that accompanied the scorecard were very helpful. Stay below the hole was the mantra.

A real test
Once again this course exceeds one’s expectations. Nice addition the staff has added a cheat sheet with elevation and general hole by hole suggestions You will not find a better course for the money in northeast Ohio
Fairways looked like rough.
This course is really over hyped. Clumps of grass all throughout the fairways made the course an eye sore. From the tee boxes that are by far the worst I've played this year you could not tell where the fairways were. The layout is not good 485 yard par 4s and 267 yard par 4s why? Greens were great, they were the only redeeming feature of this course. For the money that this course charges for greens fees you could play 50 better courses in NE Ohio. Don't think I will be back.
