Sleepy Hollow Golf Course is the top municipal course in the state and it is also ranked as one of the top 20 in the nation. Overlooking the Cuyahoga River Valley, the course is known for its scenery almost as much as its challenging layout. It has a traditional design with a classic "out-and-in" routing, with the incoming holes playing uphill into the wind, making them seem much longer than the indicated yardage. Golfers might be taken aback by the punishing nature of the golf course. There are 58 bunkers strategically placed around the tough greens, which comprise the main challenges of the course. Get ready to be quickly introduced to the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course's formidability with the lengthy second hole, a par 3 that will test even the longest hitters.

Worthy of Top Muni Status
This is one of the best, toughest courses in Cleveland. Classic styles from a world famous architect. Fantastic conditions tee to green. Pace of play was a little slow, but that could be corrected by moving a number of terrible pin positions. Lots of in accessible pins and having to play 6+ inches of break on 3 and 4 foot putts makes things take longer. Average golfers are going to miss a lot of these putts, this isn't a tournament day, it was a holiday weekend. Find flatter, more accessible pin locations to speed up play. Let people make short putts.
Beautiful course
Course was in great condition. It has some of the toughest greens I’ve played. Getting near the pin is a must because the greens are large and have lots of slope. No easy putts anywhere.
Hard course for decent golfers
Sleepy was in incredible shape. Bunkers were soft and pure sand, greens rolled true. The course is not for the faint of heart. Small greens with steep slopes!
Best in Cleveland area
Excellent conditions & staff. Staff is great to deal with considering what they have to put up with all day long.
Best golf value for the money in Cleveland.
Walkable with a Speed cart. A little foolish to walk & carry.
Great course
Challenging course with well placed hazards and trees. Conditions were very above average and greens were in good shape and decently fast. Highly recommend.
Standard Sleepy Hollow
Very typical Sleepy Hollow: Excellent conditions, fast greens, and three holes in you think you are in for a 6 hour round! As always once you get past the first three the pace picks up nicely. Glad we chose to play here again as course was in outstanding condition.
Truly brilliant
If you can play Sleepy Hollow, you can play Anywhere. Shot-making is a must the greens will challenge you. Truly love the course
