About
Sleepy Hollow Golf Course is the top municipal course in the state and it is also ranked as one of the top 20 in the nation. Overlooking the Cuyahoga River Valley, the course is known for its scenery almost as much as its challenging layout. It has a traditional design with a classic "out-and-in" routing, with the incoming holes playing uphill into the wind, making them seem much longer than the indicated yardage. Golfers might be taken aback by the punishing nature of the golf course. There are 58 bunkers strategically placed around the tough greens, which comprise the main challenges of the course. Get ready to be quickly introduced to the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course's formidability with the lengthy second hole, a par 3 that will test even the longest hitters.

Best Muni around!
Excellent layout with nice elevation changes. Course was in excellent shape and carts allowed on the course despite lots of rain in the weeks preceding play. If you like a course with variety of holes and having to think your way around with blind tee shots and elevation changes it will not disappoint.
Course in Excellent Condition
First time playing, really enjoyed, course in great condition, driving range, though off of mats, had plenty of stalls and target to aim at. Greens were smooth, sloped but fair.
Beautiful but Tough
Hope your putting game is on fire- you’ll need it. Had a blast, but shot about +5 my normal. Will be back to try again!! Do not let this deter you. I wanted a challenge- I got it.
Very slow pace of play
Too many close fairway high probability of getting hit with errant shots
CANT PLAY SOLO
I was there first thing in the morning had a tee time and was told I had
to pair up with another threesome and because of this it took us 4 hours.
I FIND THIS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
Its my choice if I want to golf by myself.
Very slow play
Very slow play. People out trying to show other people how to play. This is not the course for all that. No ranger to help stop this. Was waiting on every tee box. Cause group in front of me was trying to be a coach to his girlfriend.
Worthy of Top Muni Status
This is one of the best, toughest courses in Cleveland. Classic styles from a world famous architect. Fantastic conditions tee to green. Pace of play was a little slow, but that could be corrected by moving a number of terrible pin positions. Lots of in accessible pins and having to play 6+ inches of break on 3 and 4 foot putts makes things take longer. Average golfers are going to miss a lot of these putts, this isn't a tournament day, it was a holiday weekend. Find flatter, more accessible pin locations to speed up play. Let people make short putts.
Beautiful course
Course was in great condition. It has some of the toughest greens I’ve played. Getting near the pin is a must because the greens are large and have lots of slope. No easy putts anywhere.

Great course! Challenging, tough greens. Very well taken care of, and super nice staff!
Hard course for decent golfers
Sleepy was in incredible shape. Bunkers were soft and pure sand, greens rolled true. The course is not for the faint of heart. Small greens with steep slopes!
