About
Grand Oaks Golf Club enjoys a peaceful, tranquil setting among century-old oak trees and an abundance of wildlife. The course is as challenging as it is scenic with tree-lined fairways and small greens that will test your accuracy. It may have a traditional design but there is still some bite to this round. There are several strategically placed bunkers that lurk greenside to challenge you even further. Two meandering creeks weave along the golf course as well, coming into play on a few holes. The layout has a nice mix of holes from reachable par 5s to tough par 3s. Grand Oaks Golf Club is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. There are some birdie opportunities available if you play it smart and it's forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Don’t waste your time or money
I went out and played 9 holes at this course. I’m happy I was only playing 9. I would have been quite annoyed if I were to play a full 18 holes here. There is no real differentiation between fairway and rough. While I under stand it is winter right now.There’s very little grass anywhere. There are dirt patches throughout the “fairways”. The greens are awful. They have some sort of weed growing in them. The bunkers are filled with weeds, and don’t look like they’ve been raked recently. All in all, struggled to enjoy myself. If you treat this course as a driving range that looks like a golf course, you could have a decent time.

Just not in shape
I’m all for making amends for winter play conditions but Grand Oaks is in need of a lot of maintenance. I was in the fairway and hitting off of dirt 50% of the time. The greens were rolled and in good condition. I don’t plan to return

Too Much Water
We found too many creeks crossing fairways in places we hit the ball.

Terrible condition
Played this course for the first time. Literally every aspect of the course except for the greens are in pretty bad condition. Gotta maneuver through the cart path around the craters. The grass in the fairway and rough would not be eaten by cattle. The bunkers look like Chernobyl. First and last time

Poor Course Conditions
The course design is great. There were some good layouts, and it’s quite challenging at times. Curse you hole 6! I hit a pretty 3W shot that barely didn’t make it over the creek hazard.
However, the course is very poorly maintained. There were dirt patches everywhere, and the course looked almost forgotten. The bunkers have seen better days. Greens were pretty good though, so there’s a plus.
Lots of potential here, and I’ll come back in the spring to see if conditions improve. It has been a challenging summer and drought for courses.

Liked the course
Liked the course. As new golfers my son and I were not ready for that caliber of a course. Overall we liked the setup of the course. We will come back when we get a little better.

Fun place for the money.
Had a great time. Fairways were a little rough but staff was amazing and let me demo a set for free. I would recommend for the price.

Enjoyed the round
Course was in good shape for the time of year, Dec 5. Only issue was the course let a fivesome go in front of us and we were only 2. Third hole is a par 3, we thought for sure they'd let us play through, but no. Would have been nice if pro shop would have let us tee off before them or had a Marshall that could have let us slip through. We just skipped a few holes and went about our day.

Not a golf course, more like farmland
Paid $50 to to 10 balls in the middle of the fairway, course is in poor condition and my backyard looks better than the greens.
The place is run down and really, it looks like someone put a few flags up on farmland. The only good thing is that the staff is extremely friendly and pace of play is good, because no one wants to play there…
Will never be back there.

Goat track
Course is in poor condition and not worth the deep discount green fee. Bunkers are washed out and unplayable. Greens are a 4 on the stimp. Won’t play here again.
