About
Grand Oaks Golf Club enjoys a peaceful, tranquil setting among century-old oak trees and an abundance of wildlife. The course is as challenging as it is scenic with tree-lined fairways and small greens that will test your accuracy. It may have a traditional design but there is still some bite to this round. There are several strategically placed bunkers that lurk greenside to challenge you even further. Two meandering creeks weave along the golf course as well, coming into play on a few holes. The layout has a nice mix of holes from reachable par 5s to tough par 3s. Grand Oaks Golf Club is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. There are some birdie opportunities available if you play it smart and it's forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Enjoyed my Round
Course was in great shape minus the greens. The greens were patchy and need work. The rest of the course other than the greens was in pretty good shape. For the price I paid you can’t beat it!
Tried again after reopen:(
No greens to speak of. Wish they could get this course in shape- all the water would make it really challenging. Can’t recommend it right now.

Great little place to play!
For the price this is a great little place to play golf.
Played in early March so grass was just getting started growing. They struggle with water drainage but have done a great job trying to improve it.
Keep in mind the price you pay to play here and just have fun.

Course was not in good shape
It had been 3 days since it had rained but the course was still drenched and cart path only. The greens were not good. They had those little green spots making them very bumpy and not giving you a chance to get a true roll. The staff was friendly, so no complaints about that. The course has an interesting layout and if the greens weren’t so rock hard and bumpy i might say it’s worth playing but I definitely would not recommend it it in the condition it was in. The main reason I wanted to leave a review is because it received so many good reviews someone needed to give an honest assessment.

Grand Oaks
Other than the course still recovering from heavy rain throughout the week, it was in great condition! The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the course and of its history. I am definitely returning to this course to play again soon.

Nice trac but really wet
Book this one blind of the ratings. I imagine this is a really good course when it’s dry, but they must have taken a ton of rain because it was close to unplayable on some of the back holes. This entire review is based on wet course conditions.

People make places great!
Chik-Fil-A aint got nothing on Grand Oaks Customer Service! They literally treat you better than some of ya family will. Pro shop guy with they beard was awesome and inviting. Jimmy the starter, was cooler than the other side of the pillow, just like your favorite uncle. Marshall with Sherlock holmes pipe was on point keeping pace of play. Lastly the lovely bartender made you feel like you were in a "Cheers" episode or neighborhood bar. If l didn't live 45 min away, it would be my home course. Definitely going back!

Fairways cut too low
The entire golf course fairways were cut way to low. Most of the fairways were like hitting off hardpan or so wet. Grass is not going to make it the summer if they keep that up.

Clubhouse/bar was new and very nice. No marshals. Six carts on first tee box all teeing off at the same time. It took three hours to play 9. Greens are small. Course layout is terrible, tee boxes are too close to greens and multiple fairways hit into each other.

January Golf
Course was wet. Cart path only. Greed and fairways were on good shape. Ages tee boxes needed some work#1 tee box especially.

Windy and tough
The course is in winter conditions. Tough playing around greens with the fat inducing conditions for the pitch shot. The greens were hard and fast. Tough to hold them. But track is a favorite and the price is tough to beat. If you are looking to get a round in, this place is great.

first time playing this course
First time for myself and father-in-law playing Grand Oaks. Nice layout and amenities. They need to place yardage markers in fairways or on cart paths, and place yardage markers on tee boxes. We will be back!

Gorgeous day in nice course.
Greens were very fast and mostly in good shape. Fairways cou,d have used a little more grass.
Been maybe 3-4 years since I last played there and they took out about 800 trees.
Look forward to playing there again in the spring after everything greens up.
