About
Grand Oaks Golf Club enjoys a peaceful, tranquil setting among century-old oak trees and an abundance of wildlife. The course is as challenging as it is scenic with tree-lined fairways and small greens that will test your accuracy. It may have a traditional design but there is still some bite to this round. There are several strategically placed bunkers that lurk greenside to challenge you even further. Two meandering creeks weave along the golf course as well, coming into play on a few holes. The layout has a nice mix of holes from reachable par 5s to tough par 3s. Grand Oaks Golf Club is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. There are some birdie opportunities available if you play it smart and it's forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

nice course
nice round, i really like the surroundings with open nature
some hawks flying overhead some creeks etc
check the water hazards before you place your shots
not bad but adds to challenge of course, when i drove up the main clubhouse looks to need some repair i thought
if it was remodeled the course is really nice anyway
enough so it would be worth it they have a newer smaller
building so whatever their plans are but overall'a keeper and a nice visit

This course has beautiful tree lined fairways
Great course layout! It is fair but also challenging thanks to several creeks that run across and next to the fairways. The staff is super friendly.

Solid spot
Course was in solid condition. A few of the greens were rough but not unplayable. It’s an easy course to walk. No hills and relatively short holes. Staff was great and helpful. Solid bang for your buck. I’d play again

Grand oak
Liked the water hazards which are exactly where long drives end up and the sandy greens were also a surprise. Didnt mind walking 18 holes but a lack of restroom facilities and water was strange considering the heat and distance from clubhouse. A cart girl would have made all the difference, if a clubhouse bartender can hand me a beer so should someone on the course be able to with a water. Overall a great day at Grand Oaks.

Greens were in rough condition
Fairways were great and rolled out a ton, but the greens were like landing the ball on concrete. Several of them were being repaired and covered in sand while the rest were extremely bumpy

Won’t go back.
Overpriced. Difficult course with BAD makes for a long day.

Greens need work.
Some of the greens were in poor shape. Fairways are in good shape. Some of the greens were bumpy and mostly sand.

Great hidden gem
Great coarse hidden in Grand Prairie, Greens have some sand on them but pits are fairly true

Enjoyed my Round
Course was in great shape minus the greens. The greens were patchy and need work. The rest of the course other than the greens was in pretty good shape. For the price I paid you can’t beat it!

No greens to speak of. Wish they could get this course in shape- all the water would make it really challenging. Can’t recommend it right now.

Great little place to play!
For the price this is a great little place to play golf.
Played in early March so grass was just getting started growing. They struggle with water drainage but have done a great job trying to improve it.
Keep in mind the price you pay to play here and just have fun.

Course was not in good shape
It had been 3 days since it had rained but the course was still drenched and cart path only. The greens were not good. They had those little green spots making them very bumpy and not giving you a chance to get a true roll. The staff was friendly, so no complaints about that. The course has an interesting layout and if the greens weren’t so rock hard and bumpy i might say it’s worth playing but I definitely would not recommend it it in the condition it was in. The main reason I wanted to leave a review is because it received so many good reviews someone needed to give an honest assessment.

Grand Oaks
Other than the course still recovering from heavy rain throughout the week, it was in great condition! The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the course and of its history. I am definitely returning to this course to play again soon.

Nice trac but really wet
Book this one blind of the ratings. I imagine this is a really good course when it’s dry, but they must have taken a ton of rain because it was close to unplayable on some of the back holes. This entire review is based on wet course conditions.

People make places great!
Chik-Fil-A aint got nothing on Grand Oaks Customer Service! They literally treat you better than some of ya family will. Pro shop guy with they beard was awesome and inviting. Jimmy the starter, was cooler than the other side of the pillow, just like your favorite uncle. Marshall with Sherlock holmes pipe was on point keeping pace of play. Lastly the lovely bartender made you feel like you were in a "Cheers" episode or neighborhood bar. If l didn't live 45 min away, it would be my home course. Definitely going back!

Fairways cut too low
The entire golf course fairways were cut way to low. Most of the fairways were like hitting off hardpan or so wet. Grass is not going to make it the summer if they keep that up.
