About
Grand Oaks Golf Club enjoys a peaceful, tranquil setting among century-old oak trees and an abundance of wildlife. The course is as challenging as it is scenic with tree-lined fairways and small greens that will test your accuracy. It may have a traditional design but there is still some bite to this round. There are several strategically placed bunkers that lurk greenside to challenge you even further. Two meandering creeks weave along the golf course as well, coming into play on a few holes. The layout has a nice mix of holes from reachable par 5s to tough par 3s. Grand Oaks Golf Club is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. There are some birdie opportunities available if you play it smart and it's forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Golfer Reviews
Course was in great shape
One of my favorite courses in DFW. The course is tree lined with moderately narrow fairways. The course was in fantastic condition, and the tee boxes and fairways looked almost flawless. I have only played on the weekends here, and pace of play has never been an issue. Staff has always been very accommodating and friendly. I would say this is best suited for the beginner to intermediate golfer. I also would advise all golfers to shop around for discounted tee times, as I usually have found ways to where I didn't have to pay full price. Can't wait to play here again!
Great staff, very challenging course, great price.....enough said I believe.

Good course to play.
Got into Dallas with lots of rain and went to play the day after. Course was under water. They got the course ready in no time and we had a great day of golf. Everyone friendly and would play there again.
Good course for the money, good greens and fairways.
The layout for the course is nice. Holes are pretty straight forward. Greens & fairways are in excellent condition .
Very nice, plenty of challenge.
This course is Very nice with plenty of challenges, i.e. water, bunkers. Not crowded with no waiting during our round. Holes are all wooded and not too close to the other holes. Love to play here.
Reviews not indicative of quality of course
Perhaps GolfNow should have reviews based on green fee rates, as there is no way this course would even come close in comparison to Bridlewood, Coyote Ridge, or Tribute (all with similar overall ratings).
The course was simple, no hills but some strategically placed creeks. The fairways were in below average to poor shape mostly. The greens were small and actually in good shape but did not hold at all, like more so than what realistically makes sense.
People were friendly (staff and other players), pace was quick and the deal was good...so I had fun. But this isn't the caliber of course that the reviews led me to believe. Another $5-10 and you can jump up to a whole new level course in terms of quality (i.e. Sherrill Park). I would not play here again.
Awesome...
Had a great day! Played on a Thursday at 11am and finished right at 2 hrs! Great course. Greens were great although my putting did not reflect that.
I play there every Week
Traditional Course tree lined with creek running some holes fun to play
Needs Officials to Police Pace of Play
This course was decently maintained (because of the dry summer, certain previously existing water hazards were non-existent).
The only issue was that the pace of play was not monitored by any officials. As a result, folks got very backed up. There was not even a starter on the 1st or 10th tees.
Playing as a single behind two foursomes, I was able to play through (a credit to the friendliness of folks playing the course), but then caught up to two other singles playing back to back on the front 9. In front of them was a 6-person, 3-cart group that should have been broken up.
Dont waste your money!!!
The course was in very poor condition. I could not visually recognize the fairway from the rough. The tee boxes were cconcrete, as well as the greens. Most of the greens were patchy. Over all a total waste of time and money!
Needs water
It's green and looks decent from the parking lot. Once you walk up to the greens it's another story. They are hard and slow with some sand and dirt mixed in. Surprisingly the ball did hold which was a nice surprise. I would compare it to a Dallas municipal, and I wouldn't pay more than 20 to play it.
Good golf course, great service
I really enjoy this golf course, not only because of the course, but because of the staff as well. I have yet to run into any member of their staff that I wasn't absolutely impressed with. If you are looking for a good golf course that has great rates, fast pace of play, and extremely friendly staff this is the place to go. This is now my go to golf course.
Tight course. Fast fairways. Water in play 10 of 18 holes.
Course is fun challenging course in above average shape. A fun Sunday afternoon round.
Beautiful oaks
Great oaks, friendly course even for the beginner. I like to play different courses but keep coming back. I highly recommend.
A course definately worth playing
It was a very hot afternoon so play was minimum and we were able to fly around the course. The greens were in excellent condition. Overall it was a very good experience and Im sure we would return again.
Course Pro Charles was great, i'll play this course again!
First time to play this course, a good course to work irons as water comes into play on several holes, plus distances.
Had a good time and will lay this course again
Attractive old style course
The course was designed by PGA pro Don January. Fairways are lined with beautiful oak trees, and include meandering waterways. You'll have to pay attention to your shot making.
Greens are the old style "rounded and mounded" from the mid 1900's. Shots to the green must be well played or you will roll off.
Green conditions are only fair as of May 2013. Looks like winter damage on many greens.
Overall, I like this course and will come back and bring my friends.
This course needs green work BAD.
Fairways were great and the course was green and lush except for where you start and finish each hole, the tee boxes and greens were sandier than the Arizona desert. It is a perfect course for people who want a challenge with inconsistent greens.
This course is worth the money.
Super friendly staffs. Always keep the course in a great shape. Might have to check if the back 9 open if there is so much rain prior playing. On of my favorite golf course. Reasonable green fee.
