Grand Oaks Golf Club
About
Grand Oaks Golf Club enjoys a peaceful, tranquil setting among century-old oak trees and an abundance of wildlife. The course is as challenging as it is scenic with tree-lined fairways and small greens that will test your accuracy. It may have a traditional design but there is still some bite to this round. There are several strategically placed bunkers that lurk greenside to challenge you even further. Two meandering creeks weave along the golf course as well, coming into play on a few holes. The layout has a nice mix of holes from reachable par 5s to tough par 3s. Grand Oaks Golf Club is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. There are some birdie opportunities available if you play it smart and it's forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Loved the greens.
I thought the speed and condition of the greens were some of the best I've played this winter. The ball rolled true. The fairways had lots of unrepaired divots, but hey, it's winter, so it's not like you can get the grass to grow right now.
Perfect Place To Play Not Practice
This course is not what it looks like. You have to select your
clubs correctly or your score card will.
Slicers and hookers beware this course will make you suffer.
And stay out of the trees; play it safe with an iron shot than an off line wood. The Layout is very nice the scenery is enjoyable.
The front nine is a bit fast compared to the back nine where some of the greens were damp. Advice to course management some trees had limbs that hung a bit to low preventing approach shots toward flag. But nevertheless a change of venue. This course is still worth playing more than once.
Nice track, could use some attention on the fairways. In my opinion if you hit in the fairway you should bnot be penilized by a bad lie.
The greens were soft and rolled nice. The lack of markers made it hard to get a true distance at several places. Most of the time all we had to go on was the card, whick depending on the box they are using that day may or may not be correct. Also felt like there were marshalls than players on the corse that day which made my group feel as if we were being watched.
Decent Course for the Price
I played this course many times when I started back playing golf this year. It's close to home and is maintained nicely. The golfnow deals are supposed to include range balls, but I have yet to see the range open any time this year. I played once over the summer and there was lightning and rain after I played only 4 holes. I was told I could get a raincheck to finish my round at first. Then I was told I play at my own risk during twilight hours. So that was money wasted and left a bad taste after being a regular there. I haven't been back since. It was the principle to me. Now I play either Prairie Lakes or Mansfield National instead for the same price at better courses.
It's worth the $15 when a whole round can be played, but don't expect any range balls or rainchecks.
Friendly fun course
Course plays well,is in good shape some water some trees, test for all clubs
Greens were great
The golf course was in good shape. The greens rolled really well. Fairways were cut and looking good but my measuring stick is the greens. If they are not good then I've had a bad experience. These rolled true this day. Played with my son and we both had a good time.
The Course is the best I have played for the money!!!!
Great Course! Very pleasant staff. Would recommend everyone to play this course.
great for beginner
This course was in great condition, it really played well for a beginner with some challenges along the way. The staff was real helpful, it just had a friendly atmosphere. My friends and I have already planned a return trip back to Grand Oaks.
Really enjoy this course ! ! ! !
Fairways are in great shape. Be sure to hit them. Miss the fairways on a few holes and you could be in trouble. The greens are in good shape as well with a few pretty challenging. The staff is very friendly and helpful and plan on playing here often since it is very reasonably priced and close to to home.
Great course but could use some driving range help....
I have played this course a couple of times and it always seems to be a good place to play. The couse was in good shape but it had rained the day before so there was some moist spots on the course.
We were supposed to get free range balls but their range was shut down because it got to much rain in the field. I like to hit balls before playing and was one of the reasons I booked here so that was a little dissapointing. It appears they are doing some repairs to the driving range so I am hoping that it will be nice when they are done.
I will be back!
A+
From tees to greens this course is in great shape. The GPS download app is great it gives you all the distances you need for your next shot.
Great course for very cheap!
Was on the course at 8 AM was off by 10:30 AM. Have a good balance of scoring holes and holes where par is great. Greens are small so make sure your dialed in. Get it within 15 feet though, and it's green light for birdies. Overall a superb course!
Great Value
Love playing here - the staff is great - the rates are more than reasonable.
