Grand Oaks Golf Club enjoys a peaceful, tranquil setting among century-old oak trees and an abundance of wildlife. The course is as challenging as it is scenic with tree-lined fairways and small greens that will test your accuracy. It may have a traditional design but there is still some bite to this round. There are several strategically placed bunkers that lurk greenside to challenge you even further. Two meandering creeks weave along the golf course as well, coming into play on a few holes. The layout has a nice mix of holes from reachable par 5s to tough par 3s. Grand Oaks Golf Club is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. There are some birdie opportunities available if you play it smart and it's forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Great Layout But Needs Work
Played here not knowing any courses in the area. The layout of the course is good, but all areas of the grounds need improvement except for maybe the restaurant snack bar, which was nice. Lots of broken cart, paths, down trees, and torn up ground under repair everywhere.
What a Shame
Nice staff but the audacity to charge what they charge is beyond me.
The course is in horrible conditions, from the fairway to the tee box, to the greens.
The clubhouse is closed down and the bar functions as the club house. No selection of equipment to purchase. The driving range doesn't even allow drivers because they are unable to pick the balls up in the terrain far out. Way too many people for the wonderful staff to manage (the staff were really nice). They don't have enough carts for everyone. Tons of ground under repair and construction-like sites on the course. Trash laying on the ground. Ball cleaners were dry. Shoe cleaners were frayed and almost unusable.
And the pace of play was horrendous. My round took 5 1/2 hours, backed up at nearly every hole.
I probably will never be back. Maybe if they charged $30 I would be back to have a cheap day on a cheap course but I doubt they will do that. I just want to know, where is all the money going? Nothing works on this course yet they were packed, overbooked, and charging $60/head - sounds like serious mismanagement and the city should consider pulling their contract with the current folks lining their pockets.

Needs a lot of work
Played here during the Covid lockdown, so I decided to give it another shot ,very disappointed the fairways are in terrible shape
Nice for the price.
Not sure why this course has any bad reviews. I'm no expert golfer, and for the price it's perfect for getting some practice rounds in.
