The new and improved Greendale
Greendale has changed. The people volunteering are friendly and polite. The course has made it easier from some of the tees. Overall a pleasant experience.
The one downside was that Canadian Geese were prey for some animal and there were feathers on holes with water. Not pleasant to look at. Other than that I had a very enjoyable round.
Track Not Up To Par
It’s the end of June and there is still no grass in the fairways. Every lie is a tight lie. It’s better playing from the rough. Tee boxes also not cut evenly and low enough. You have to guess the length of your tee set up otherwise you’ll pop up or thin it. Just frustrating for it to be mid June. You hit a good shot in the fairway and you’re not rewarded for it.
Don’t waste your money
This is the most overpriced course in the area for the conditions that they provide. You’re paying full price for a mini course with average greens that don’t roll true. Take the time to drive somewhere else and spend your money there.
Perfect average golfer course
Some fairways are wide, some are open. Par 3s are challenging and pin placements spread nicely overall good course to play. Need TLC on most tees though and cutting the rough some more, s as my group lost a few golf balls on are where one would think it was easy to find.
Haven’t been to the course since start of year. Enjoyed playing with the weather cooperating. The tees still need a bit of TLC for most holes and I wish the 1st cut rough was cut some more. My playing group found it hard to look and find balls when not in the fairway. The greens were better than my last visit last fall. Overall it was ok. The staff including the starter was great and friendly.
Great value
Local course for me, great price and I birdied 18. Can't wait to get back!!!
Ok course to play if no where else is available
Fairways and first cut of rough needed to be cut. Greens were very bumpy but what can you expect from a county course. If they cut fairways and first cut of rough and did a bit of work on the greens, this course would rate much higher in my opinion. Staff was very friendly. No wait when I tee'd off but course was pretty backed up after 11am. Putting green was decent but no range to hit balls before round. Did have a net to hit into.
Reasonable conditions
Played this course for the first time this week as I am traveling in the area. Inexpensive course with a good putting area and bare minimum facilities for a pre-round warm up.
Tee boxes were a little sparse and any ball that edges into the woods is lost. Greens are still healing from a recent aerification but definitely on the mend.
I would give the starter an “A” for being welcoming and getting people paired up and off on time.
Nice scenery and in reasonable condition
For a municipal course, this is in good condition and has a nice layout. When I played, the greens were just aerated recently so putting was a challenge. Otherwise, great course for the money.
Early spring golf
Very nice course with good conditions for early spring. Walkable course with an interesting layout. Par 70 with 3 par 3’s and 2 par 5’s on the front 9 and the more traditional one par 3 and one par 5 on the back. Well worth playing.
