Excellent Course for Short game
Pleasantly surprised with this course. The greens and facilities are well maintained. Offers really good par 3 challenges and many opportunities to work on your short game. Will definitely return to play often.

Great course
This course is always busy and I was expecting to have some slow play issues. However we only had to wait a minute or two at a couple of holes and we only held up the guys behind us once. The course was great and I would recommend it to everyone.

Conditions not improving
Earlier in the Spring I thought grass conditions would improve. They are not! Tee boxes and many areas around the greens have grass clumps and many bare spots. It’s hard to find grass where the ball actually sits up. Because it’s a par 3 course, tees and areas around the greens are most important. Management would do well to focus on this issue.

Poor Quality Range Balls
This review is for the range balls they use at the range. I go to this range at night to see ball flights when im working on moving the ball left and right. I work at a golf course so I collect alot of shack bag balls to hit at range. Long story short, I went recently and decided to just use their range balls. I bought the 120 basket and from the looks of it, 70% were old and almost no dimples. Only about 50 or less had true flight but the rest just comes out dead and all over the place. Such a nice facilities but overlooking whats important as the range balls cycle. Pohick bay golf course about 6 miles away had a range but no catch nets on its side so they loose alot of.balls but do replenish with new balls. I see this.problem with range catch nets that they recycle years of same ranges balls. Just so.bad.

Great 18h fast course
Burke lake is a beautiful 18h par 3 course! They have a nice golf shop, great food and excellent drinving range facilities. The course is in great shape and normally you can play 18h in 2hours. Unless you have a realky slow flight in front of you. But enjoyed it very much.

Glad I Returned
I hadn’t played Burke Lake for 20 years. Glad I returned. I used to bring my 16-17 year old daughter who was learning the game. After she left home, and my game improved substantially, I couldn’t see playing a par 3. With current prices so high, I thought I’d give Burke another look. I was surprised. It’s in very good shape, has 5-6 “long” holes (~200 yds from the back tees). Greens were firm and true. Tee boxes and ground around a couple back 9 greens need work. Check in person and starter were very friendly. Overall, a relaxing round with a good pace of play and enjoyable partners. I had such a good time,I booked another round this Friday!

Great Par 3 course
An excellent course to test and enhance your short game.
The staff were nice and welcoming.
The only snag for me was that two players came from nowhere to start at Hole 11 (No, not Hole 10) and messed up the pace of play. It was really frustrating.
I will play this course again when I have the opportunity.

Spring like winter golf
Greens were in good condition for winter. Tee boxes are really chewed up...granted they do get a lot of use and the fairways were ok.
