Surprisingly challenging, with excellent variety
This is an excellent Course if you want to work on your short game, but don’t be surprised if some of the holes are between 175 and 200 yards.
Greens in fairways were in great shape. Most greens head undulations and slopes
Fairways were tree line and some holes had significant elevation changes. I could see this course as a regular track to play to work on the short game and never get boring

requested cancellation with more than 24 hours left. not sure why it didn't cancel
requested cancellation with more than 24 hours left.
in fact, I requested a cancellation twice thru the golfnow system. - first time, I picked 1 reason - I think "bad weather", then 2nd time, I picked another reason - both times on my phone. What is frustrating is the system didn't make it clear if my request got registered or not. I assumed it went thru though. then a few days later, I got asked to leave a review.
So this makes me an unhappy customer.
I chose 6/16/23 as the date of play, as picking a date seems necessary to leave the review, but it fact, we didn't play on that date due to certain reasons.
We did play here often in the past, and always enjoyed it.

I enjoyed a nice round of Golf with gentlemen that I was grouped to play with - Bob, the other Bob & his son Tyler. The pace of play was great and the Course was in good shape.
The only problem that I had, occurred at the Car park before I went to play. Arborists were cutting down a tree in the Car park, but had cordoned off such a large section, such that parking was very difficult. Together with other cars that came after me, we had to go around and around, waiting for a long time in order to get a parking space. I wish the Arborists had taken that much space!

Burke Lake Course
Course us good for the money. All of the holes are pretty kuch a straight shot (no dog legs). Holes are short and lots of geese. Its a walking course so no driving golf carts. Lots of shade and great prrice

It might meet your expectations but it certainly won't exceed them
It's a county run par 3, so at the end of the day it's almost unfair to be too critical. That said, the course is in pretty rough shape. Bare patches on every hole. The greens are choppy and there is goose poop everywhere. I don't expect to find scratch golfers out there, but it seems like every time I'm there I'm surrounded by people who can't play and don't know how to play. During this round it took 2.5 hours to play 9 holes. People need to learn to PLAY BAD FAST!
