Lakeview Golf Club - Mountain Course

Nice views, solid fairways, greens were very slow but in nice condition. Just didn’t like the way the course was laid out. 3 separate courses of 9 holes. Did shoot my best though of 18 holes at 84.

Played 27 holes. In real nice condition! would recommend for sure! Very happy!

Played this course for the first time while in the area for vacation and had an excellent time. Played all three nines and will definitely come back.

Course is in good shape and everyone I came into contact with was very friendly and helpful. Pace of play was excellent, various tees to suit all skill levels, greens were a bit slow but in good condition and rolled well.

The views of the surrounding mountains particularly on the “Mountain” nine were awesome.

Outstanding grill with a great menu of various sandwiches and sides.

When looking at the hot deals and noticed the price I wondered about the condition of the course. Reading the reviews I noticed the favorable ratings. After playing the course I have to say that this is a hidden gem in the Shenandoah Valley and next time I visit the area and have time to play I will play this course again. Was a terrific experience from the start.

Every time we go the staff is friendly and courteous! They go out of there way for your food and beer orders and the pro is always available for questions. We play here at least 20 times a year and couldn’t be happier with the conditions of the course so far this year.

Nice course, great layout, nice fairway grass and firm greens. Fairways are wide and forgiving, but a little long on some holes. Golf carts are a little dated, but functional. Overall, nice course for the cost.

Despite the beautiful golf course, this place had by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. To start, me and 3 other buddies of mine decided to go play a 9 hole course and we arrived around 5:30. When we get there, we paid for our time and carts but as we’re leaving the clubhouse, we’re given absolutely no direction to which path will lead us to the start of our course. However I’m sure me and my other 19 year old college friends looked like vetted golfers so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and that we just looked like regulars and knew what we were doing. We finished just as the sun went down and it’s about 8PM. When we went to return the golf carts, there wasn’t a worker in sight and all the lights were off in the club house so we left the carts at the front. An hour or so later I realize that I left my $200 pair of sunglasses in the golf cart and so I immediately call them and they said to call the clubhouse at 6AM when they open. I woke up at 6 AM to call and I was again transferred to a number that wasn’t the clubhouse (assuming it’s the other course they have) and she told me they weren’t in the clubhouse yet “due to rain” and to call back in a bit. I called back at 6:15am and 7am and received the same response. So I then call at 11am in which a man answers the phone, and I kindly tell him my situation and ask if there have been any sunglasses turned in. He was very short and aggressive on the phone and told me they have dozens of sun glasses that get turned in. I said “Sir, well my golf cart had to be one of the two outside of the shop in the morning” and he said “Nope, they get cleaned out by someone who lives two minutes away and they would’ve been turned in” and then he hangs up on me mid sentence. Blown away, I called back and said “Sir, there’s no reason to hang up on me, I’m just simply asking about a very expensive lost item.” in which he proceeds to hangs up on me again. I grab my keys and drive over to the course, very frustrated, and when I arrive, the man let’s me look into his drawer of “dozens of sunglasses” which actually consisted of 5 pairs of knock off Walmart sunglasses. I tell him that none of them are it and instead of trying to help me in any way possible, he basically shrugs me off and continues to chat it up with a drunk regular. I take it upon myself to go search the golf carts in the garage and nearly every one of the “cleaned out” golf carts had left over tees and bottle caps in it. I walk back in and say that they must be in one of the ones that are currently in use and ask to leave my name and number. He aggressively says he doesn’t have anything to write on and I practically have to beg him to find a piece of paper so that I can be contacted when someone brings in this very specific pair of glasses. He sighs like I just asked him to actually clean out one of his junky golf carts and finds a piece of paper. I then ask to see the drawer one more time and jokingly say “i’ll hold onto this $5 pair until mine our found.” And then he rips off his mask and grabs the phone and tells me he is calling the cops. I put the glasses down and say “Dude I don’t want your Walmart glasses I want my $200 pair” and he then has me escorted out of the clubhouse
