Lakeview Golf Club - Mountain Course

They have 3 nines and aerated all at the same time. Rotate baby. Greens were unputtable.

The course was beautiful and for a great price, but we ended up leaving after 4-1/2 hours and still only on hole 15. The pace of play was exceptionally slow. Unfortunately one of the 9’s was not allowed to be played. There was several walkers throughout the course which could have assisted in slowing the pace of play as well. When we made it to the turn, the kitchen was closed and not offering food anymore (2:10). Unfortunately the pace of play kept us from getting to the turn sooner. The staff was very nice and the course was in very good shape. I hope it was a one time deal and not like that next time.

If you're looking for a course to play on the weekend for a reasonable rate, Lakeview is a great option. The course was very busy, but with three nines, the pace of play was good. The fairways are thin this time of year, but that's typical of most courses at the end of winter. The greens were excellent, smooth and true.

First time playing here. After so much rain, was very surprised there no cart path only rule. A lot of wet spots. But overall, a very nice course and one needs to play it a few times to figure it all out, Had a great time and hope to return!

Course in very good shape for this time of year. Slow play was not course fault. I was a single and got behind a 3 some who did not offer to let me play though. Staff friendly as always.

I recently moved to Harrisonburg and was looking for a reasonably priced local course to call home. After playing 18 at lakeview the last two days I can comfortably say I found it. The mountain course has some unbelievable views and the staff were very friendly.

Played two days so got to play all three 9 hole layouts. Make no mistake this is a mountainous region so elevation changes are on basically every hole. I felt it was pretty long and the greens were fast and not many were flat. I’m an 18 handicapper and These were challenging nines. The views are spectacular and sometimes make it hard to focus on the golf and you need to focus to score here. Friendly staff but could have used some Marshall’s on the second day when play got slowed up some. I would play it again but the women in my group felt it was way too long for them. If your a beginner stay home or use the range.

Tee time was at 12:40 did not tee off until 1:20. At 3:30 on the end of the 7th hole are cart ran out of gas. We called the lady answer said we were driving to close to the greens. We were not We were on the cart path driving up to the green me and my playing partner are 5 handicaps we hit the green on our second shot. When I told her that we were on the cart path that it couldn't be a GPS issue. She got angry and told us help will be out there soon and slammed the phone. We waiting 30 mins no cart showed still so we just grabbing our stuff and left.

A great Shenandoah Valley Golf Course. Beautiful views from many holes. Fairways and Greens in excellent condition. 27 holes, so plenty of variety. Water and streams make risk reward shots common. The staff is very accommodating and the snack bar offers daily specials. There is two indoor simulators, so you can practice in inclement weather.

3 nines in good condition. Some t boxes and fairways a bit rough. Nice GPS carts. Nice people, Great food cooked on site. It's an old school school golf course, not a country club.

Played Peaks and Lakes course. Mix of easier and more challenging holes (wider / narrower fairways, flat / sloped greens). Pace of play excellent / unrestricted (Sat p.m. tee time) for 18h - cart recommended for elevation changes. Weather 10/10. Will return.

Over hill and dale, I played Peak and Mountain.

Both sides featured blind shots, some to the green but overall the layout was always interesting.

Second half of the mountain course was somewhat spoilt because it went through real estate.

Conditions were generally good, especially the greens which rolled true with decent speed although considering the terrain were mostly flat.

All in all I would recommend this course especially for the price.
