Hurricane Helena
This was the fourth time that I’ve played this course. I have two children that are attending Radford University. This is not a complaint, just merely a suggestion. I understand that the storm came through a day prior, but I was a little disappointed that they did not have someone out the afternoon before (once the weather cleared up) or earlier that morning to do a little cleanup at least on the Tee boxes and fairways. Although the back 9 was much better. Should have started Tee times later to allow for some clean up. I will be back since I have had three previous fantastic experiences.
Beautiful course!!
Let me start off with the bad.. the cart path was extremely steep and after all the rain, has been very slippery..
Now the good! Absolutely beautiful course, very well maintained! It was an absolute pleasure playing the course and will definitely be returning! Staff was friendly and helpful.
Tough, hilly course
Fun course!! Lots of hills. Pace of play suffered because two groups had six people. Additionally, it was 90+ and the course didn't have water coolers at any hole, which sucked. Overall, it was fun, but could and should be better.
Nice Course
Living in Myrtle Beach, I have several courses to choices from, 80+. The course was in great shape from the tee boxes to the greens. You can tell they put the time in to keep the course in great shape. The rough was a little high but that's golf. everything else was near perfect.
I will definitely play this course again on my next trip to Christiansburg.
Nice find
If traveling on 81 stop here. Very well maintained.
Greens are in great shape and are challenging. Some holes are wide open and some are very narrow, a good combination of gettable holes and tough ones
POOR MANAGEMENT
Nice course in good condition on a beautiful piece of land. Greens almost healed from recent aeration. No ranger or order for teeing off. A disaster causing horrendous delays that ruined any chance of enjoying this overpriced course. If you're going to charge 54 for a 40 dollar course it should be managed. 10 minutes between shots, fivesomes of 100 stroke plus golfers make for a 5 to 5 1/2 hour of pure agony and something that is preventable. A RANGER IS NEEDED AND SOMEONE ON FIRST TEE. 54 bucks is overpriced with a fair price of 40. If you enjoy overpriced 5 hour rounds this is the course for you
Beautiful course
This was a beautiful course. I started my round in a drizzle but the weather cleared and was great the rest of the day. Pace of play was good. I played with a 3some and enjoyed their company. I’ll definitely come back. The greens were very tough but rolled true.
I'm from the Outer Banks of North Carolina and my mom lives in Radford. I was Impressed with this course. Has a fun day playing with my brother. This course was in better shape than most courses that I've played even though it's winter. I will definitely be back.
This was my first time playing here and I loved it. Wish I lived closer so I could play more often. Course is tough but fair and in great condition. Undulating greens but not difficult to read. Staff is great. If you are ever in this area, I highly recommend taking the time to play. You won't regret it!
