About
South Riding Golf Club is nestled in the gentle hills of northern Virginia, enjoying a landscape of hardwood forests and grassy meadows. The course offers a variety of challenges but the fairways are wide and player-friendly and the greens can be tough in spots but overall they offer some room for error. The layout requires both strategy and skill, it is definitely not a golf course where you will be able to just "grip and rip it." The course pinpoints your weaknesses but it is still a fair test. South Riding Golf Club's eighth hole is memorable for its difficulty but it's an interesting hole sine there are many ways to play it. At 351 yards, the hole is a short but intimidating dogleg left that will tempt you to go over the trees. The fairway is generous but the saddle-shaped green is flanked with bunkers.

The course has great features.
I had a great time and I would like to play again!
Water!
Qe need to follow the CDC guidelines and start pitting water on the course and not use the Covid excuse.
Great course, semi slow pace of play
Fairways were in mint condition and greens were quick and pure. Only played 9 but would highly recommend. Pace of play was steady and the groups that were holding everyone up were the same culprits that wouldn’t fix their ball marks on the green. Other than having a marshal on the course to speed things up it was well worth the $40 with cart included.
Cold & Windy
47 degrees to start with 25mph winds gusting to 30...challenging to say the least...,
Horrible Management
This place is greedy and horribly run. They have 10-min tee times so greedy management can squeeze in an extra group per hour. The result is excruciating slow pace of play. They don’t take care of their carts, greens are in terrible shape. Just a poorly run public course happy to take your money but cares nothing about your experience. You are better off somewhere else.
Course is in great condition, especially the greens.
Slow Riding
It would be great if golfers who belong on a par 3 course would stay there. Playing behind this type of golfer is slow and painful...
Unfair greens
Greens were very fast and the pin locations were too difficult for average players on a Monday. Almost all locations were on steep inclines causing missed putts above the cup to be further away that the first putt.
