South Riding Golf Club

The course is well laid out however, they over water the fairways and greens. By over watering the course it has ruined the root structure of the grass making it too soft. The club house needs to be updated....i.e, a paint job to start and over all maintenance in the rest rooms and restaurant.

Played for the second time. Course layout rewards accuracy.

Greens are a bit ragged with bare spots which detracted from the overall quality of this track. Pay attention to distances to hazards that cross fairways.

Starter gave comprehensive overview. Professional and thorough, encouraging keeping up with group in front. Pace of play was good for a Saturday morning.

Will definitely play again. Hopefully condition will improve.

Okay course if you get discounted rates. Course layout is fair but a little rough - greens were spotty and rough was very uneven. Nice round but not a premium course.

One of my favorite courses in Northern Virginia. Good lay out and tough rough around the green. Will play again soon.

No notice on golf now that they were literally aerating the greens that morning. Needless to say, putting was a joke. Some greens and tee boxes were in rough shape with dirt patches. Love this course when properly maintained, but not on this round. Starter was rude and abrasive. Acted like he looked down on us "golf now" folks. Good news, pace of play was great. Guessing the locals knew about the greens and the golf now community did not!

Pretty good course for the money. Would play again. No problem with pace of play. Had fun.

SR Golf Club is a good course and a good value for the money - the layout is challenging enough for a weekend golfer - pace of place can vary, but it's not horrible - the greens could be better, but it's a fun track to play

I played Sunday 6/11 and overall the course was in decent shape. I was surprised that 75% of the greens were starting to show burnout given all of the rain and cool weather we have had. To add insult to injury, whoever cut the greens on the front nine left a nice trail of hydraulic fluid on 3 or 4 greens. Given that we are paying full rate, I would not give this more than an average rating.

The day started out a little rainy, but the course was in good shape, long rough due to the ideal growing conditions in the area. Bring a range finder if you have one due to lack of reference points on the course for certain hazards. Pace of play was excellent, greens rolled true. Would definitely play again. Great price from golf now.

The course is beautifully maintained and provides a challenge for all golfers. Some holes are quite short but require shaped shots, while some require distance off the tee. I would have rated conditions higher but greens were recently areated so not 100% sure how they play until that repairs itself. My only complaint is the quality of the mats on the driving range. I hate mats, but if a quality course is going to use mats to preserve the range they should be maintained a bit better, or replaced.

Just played the course last week. It was in perfect condition. One of the best values in the area !!!

I played with a buddy as a twosome. Before the 4th hole we had been caught by another twosome. This was not the result of our slow play; rather it was the result of a twosome (man and woman) who apparently had no concept of golf etiquette. The man spent at least 5 minutes on each hole hunting for golf balls, and not necessarily his own. He would lag back while the woman played on. As a result, we were often unable to tee off until the woman was physically on the green because only then would the man move forward - and even then he walked because the woman went ahead with the cart. On a less than busy day, this round took over 5 hours. I finally got fed up at 11 tee and called the clubhouse, only to get an answering machine. UNSAT.
