Kempsville Greens Golf Course

After a 2 year absence due to knee issues it was great to come back again. Will be back regularly.

COURSE WAS IN GOOD ENOUGH CONDITION. GREENS ROLLED OK. THE LAYOUT IS NOT BAD. FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TROUBLE GETTING LOFT ON THE BALL ITS A VERY FRIENDLY COURSE. FOR THE RIGHT PRICE WOULD RECOMMEND PLAYING.

The price, $13 was great. However the course could have used some watering. When you drove to your ball on the fairway, a dust plume followed.

The course is in great shape with the greens having good roll to them. Fairways were firm and the grass around the course was nice.

Be sure you hit them straight off the tees. Not a long course but you must be accurate, a good test for all levels of players. Price was excellent, played slower than normal, very packed this afternoon. .Staff in clubhouse and grill were friendly as usual.

Fun course with front nine a little more open than the back nine. A shorter back nine requires more placed shots to score well.

Been a while since I played the course. Pretty straight forward. Ground on tee boxes are a little on the hard side with relatively faster greens compared to VB National. Course is maintained but borderlines on needing some attention. Hole 18 is the one that you need to watch out for with a 2 handicap. Narrow fairway to the right with water on the left and in front of the hole a ball trap. Water coolers well maintained an replenished quickly.

Great course to work on some skills to get you to shooting consistently in the low 90s or even the 80s. I am tryin to be consistent in the 90s and this course will make you have every club in your bag. The 10th hole is a short par 4 but very tricky. I doubled bogey'd it and the best score in my 4-some was a bogey.
Pace was a little slow but yesterday it was 85 degrees here and I went at peak time so I expected it.
