Pass
The lady who was the starter was super friendly. Greens sucked. Pace of play was poor. I saw a ranger just sitting near tee box but never n the course. I wouldn’t return here.
Enjoyable course
This was the first time I played Red Wing in about 15 years. It was a bit rough then but pleasantly improved since. There are some nice challenging holes and it's apparent management is caring for it. Like many courses in the area, new sand needs to be brought in for the traps and bunkers.

I know you have heard this before, but you might want to get some fill dirt for that spots of standing water. You can get for free.

Some of the greens are in really bad shape. Course layout is fun.

Positives: Sand good, they have 150 yard poles, no houses. greens not all tricked up with severe undulations like some area courses.
Negatives: No ball washers, greens not so hot, fairways & tees a bit overgrown, ground is kinda hard so you get lots of high bouncing balls in most areas.

Good course Layout is very good, and conditions are usually very good. A great deal for the price.

Great public course
The layout was very challenging but fair. No real blind shots. Course was in great shape for a public course. There were some bear spots on the greens but they putted very well.

Still going strong
I haven't played RW in about 10 years. I liked it then and now. the grounds are kept well. Greens had a few areas that were rough but not enough to affect a put. I do wish players would be more respectful to the course and fix their ball marks....
