Muddy ,wet and pace of play was awful
I don't know how this happened but a group in orange-red shirts combined and played as a large group - greater than 6- slowing down the entire course in the afternoon.
Not a winter course
Really really wet. Course probably should not be open in its current condition.

Not a winter course
I've played the course a few times in the summer months and enjoyed it. However playing in February was not a good idea. Extremely wet with puddles the size of lakes all over the course. I spoke to a couple of marshals and they both said the drainage is terrible and this has been a parcularly bad year. Lost 4 balls to fairway water.

Serious Drainage Issues
I don't think the course is well kept at all. There are other options in the area for better price. Hole # 3 converted to a par 3 due to lakes not draining well. Again, better options in the area for locals.

Great Course
This is a very underrated course. I've played most courses in the city and was a member of one of the most exclusive clubs in the city. Red Wing is simply one of the best. A long, championship-type course that is challenging for top-level players and mid-level. Perhaps too challenging for beginners. I put this up with Virginia Beach National as a comparison: both long and tough. There is some forgiveness, but not a lot.

Good Course and Good Value
Today’s weather was great for this far into December. It was in the mid-60’s and Red Wing Lake Golf Course was in very good shape. The course was in very good condition, but pace of play was kind of slow. For the value of the fees, it was a very good deal.
Casual round
Very casual day of golf. Had a 10 am tee time. There was no starter which was odd but allowed me to get started without a hitch. Was able to golf at my own pace since no one was in front or behind me for most of the day. Greens were nice for the time of year, but leaves on the fairway made searching for hits more difficult.
Great Local Golf Course
I’ve played Red Wing at least once a week, sometimes twice a week for several years. The staff is always friendly, the facilities are always clean and comfortable. It’s a great local course that offers a competitive game with just enough bunkers and water hazards to make your game challenging.

Not happy at all membership went from $300 for 3 yrs to $400 for 2 yrs. SUX.. but love playing the course..
