Red Wing Lake Golf Course

I have golfed here for years and it's one of my favorite courses. However, the staff is rude and consistently irritated with anyone who walks in the doors. I love the course, I will keep going, just be prepared in advance for the attitude that you'll get for interrupting their day.

I booked this for my vacation. I would of booked a different course if I new the greens were under repair

I had a free time at this course. The weather was perfect, the staff was friendly and I got paired up with three people who were all of quality character. The green is being renovated so the course felt a lot more like glorified topgolf, but when they are finished it is going to be a fantastic course

They are updating their greens to Bermuda grass and had no idea. There temporary greens are a circle mowed down with about a 5-6 yard radius. Make sure you call and check with the course before you book to make sure they have finished their updates. Marshall did not do great keeping pace of play either on the front 9. We got stuck behind a very slow foursome and took 2hours and 45 minutes

Good golf now deal. we knew from reviews re temp greens. course has interesting layout, a lot of water, pretty flat, but mounds in fairway. almost no one on course, played with my son in 3 hours in the morning. temp greens are small and they and surrounding area is very firm, need to let it hit well before green and bounce on. My son shot 63 , his best score ever, but holes are maybe 30 yds shorter due to temps greens.

It would have been nice to know that all the greens were under repair. I would have played somewhere else. Guy behind the counter had an attitude. Basically said that's why it was so cheap.

I’ve played this course before. The fairways were in pretty good shape but all 18 holes had temporary greens. They decided in the middle of summer to reseed every green. Not a smart decision. Also the snack bar was closed. It’s a Saturday at noon. Why? Aren’t you there to make money? Also Todd at the check in counter needs retraining for customer service or be fired. He was absolutely the rudest person I have ever encountered in a clubhouse in the 50 years I’ve been golfing. If I had to only deal with him at that course I would go somewhere else. There are plenty of other places to golf.

Second time I have played this course it has a good layout. Only issue all of the greens including practice green were under construction. If you don't have a rangefinder yardages are a guess no markers have been moved for 100 yards or anything. If the when the greens are completed and are decent it will be a fun course to play in the future.

Got a cheap round but the course, considering the crazy amount of rain we had, looked great. Cart path only, understandably, and just a little water puddling on the course itself. Greens were temporary, which, even though up closer, was quite the challenge since it was so small, not really green style grass so without a scope, almost impossible to get distance so I was usually long or short. The staff was constantly around the course. Had one foursome (I was a single) in front of me who would take extra shots if they didn’t like the first one and the ignored me teed up behind them. Overall, great deal for the money; looking forward to the new greens!

Course tee boxes and fairways were in decent shape. Greens were dead and could use maintenance. Few sand traps were like concrete. Not a bad municipal course but for 55$ a player i thought it was overpriced. Oceanview is sister course to this, much nicer and about 20$ cheaper.

The staff was amazing. Course was in good shape for the weather conditions.
