Great course near virginia beach
Was in the area on a work trip and decided to get a quick 18 in before i had to head back and i chose here. Unfortunately i was a little late to my tee time but the staff was absolutely phenomenal in helping me get into a group. Nice flat, open course with big fairways to hit. Only bummer is that they are currently killing the greens but when its time its time so i get it. Overall phenomenon experience here, 9.3/10 would happily play again

Very fun course
Very fun course with water on almost every while. Greens are fairly flat with little break.

Over priced golf
This course has a nice layout but the fairways are not in great shape, with little grass and hitting off clay.
The greens were very short and fast.
there was no water in the course coolers which is unheard of!
Never again will I play this course!

Good course to play
The course was in good condition and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend playing this course to anyone. Layout was good would recommend playing the blue tee, made the course a little more interesting.

Very nice course
I have played off and on at Red Wing for many years and enjoy it very much. The course is well designed with a variety of holes and challenges. Scenery is terrific. It is in the city, but it feels like you are out in nature. Fairways are wide and greens are fairly flat. Plenty of water but not too many bunkers. Greens are rolling nicely and fairway grass is coming in earlier than normal, thanks to a warm and rainy spring. Choice of tees is good. Tips are quite challenging.

Fairway drains
There’s a couple fairways with a drains that atr about 1 foot deep, it’s an accident waiting to happen and it will cause damage to you and your cart. They need to put some kind a grid over the holes!

Great course
Beautiful, fairways and greens are in great shape. We played Sunday and has slow pokes ahead of us, took 5 hours to play.

Great course, greens are improving, a little patchy in the fairways, super friendly staff
Watch out for the birds that swoop into your cart to steal your food!
Overall good experience every time I play.
I use to live around this course and was my home course for a while so it was nice getting play here again. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Luckily I was paired with good to great golfers and couldn’t have asked for anyone better but the course Marshall all threw us for a loop when he said we needed to pickup pace of play when we finished hole 7 in just shy of 1 hour and 30 minutes because the two groups in front of us were on a bachelor party trip and playing best ball the entire time. Other than that it’s one of the better public courses in the Virginia Beach area with some challenge.
Greens condition
The greens are the best condition we have seen in years. May be from all the rain lately?
