Pace
Horrible pace of play! People don’t observe pace of play or correct tees for skill level . Have Marshall’s ask them to keep up !
Calling it a dog track is an insult to dogs.
It is the only public golf course in Chico and the Courseco company manages the course. They do not put enough money into fixing the damaged greens, fairways, and buying more carts. There are people waiting around for a cart and then having to take a pull cart because it is their tee time. The fairways are in need of repair. When driving down the fairway they are so bumpy that it tosses me all over the place. The number two green is so damaged that it needs to be ripped out have a temporary green in it's place while the new green replaced.
Sucky fairways
The greens needed blown from all the leaves. The fairways were absolute crap. The tee boxes were like the rolling hills of the mid west. Needs work. But it was also in December with amazing weather.
Great municipal course!
Bidwell is one of my favorite courses to play. It's challenging enough for me but I can make par on some holes. Some of the tee boxes had been moved because they were reseeding the original ones and a couple of the greens were a bit patchy. But I still think the course is in good shape and fun to play. Love the staff who are always very accommodating.
Good course with a variety of holes. However the course is having difficulty with overbooking and running out of carts. My last round I was only able to complete 13 holes due to a delayed start.
Bidwell is a DOG TRACK
Bidwell is what my fiends and I call a dog track. Meaning that it is a run down golf course. It is in terrible shape. The number 2 and 5 greens are pitted with dead grass. The fairways have areas where it is just dirt and no grass. Many of the fairways are so bumpy when you drive the cart down them you bounce and hit your head on the roof off the cart. They are the only public course in Chico and take advantage of the locals by charging them $55 for a dog track because it is the only public course in town. Chico needs another course now that Tuscan Ridge is gone.
Pace
Was extremely busy due to everyone wanting to get it in before the rain. But still golfed for 5 & 1/2 hours and didn’t even finish. Problem was several arrogant singles weren’t willing to play together so we watched one tee off then wait for another behind and they were both pull cart imbeciles. Amazing wildlife per usual bucks like crazy chasing doe and baby deer just gotta work on the grouping out there. 2 somes are fine but come on pair the whacked out singles please.
Great views, lots of wildlife. Course is in rough shape.
Course
Course was extremely fun phenomenal wildlife deer geese all over. Only downfall had a 6 some and some slow groups working on their swing in the middle of the round needs better marshaling. Overall awesome.
Beautiful day
Good pace but payed in less than 4 hrs. Fair ways starting to show wear. People do not fix divets On greens. But mostly good for putting. Nice wind less day.
MY FAVORITE COURSE TO PLAY
Bidwell is my favorite course to play. It's challenging but I like the challenge. This week the tee boxes were being reseeded so we had to tee off at a different spot which threw my game off. But the course was pretty open and we finished in 3 1/2 hours which I really like! The staff is very helpful and Kyle is a great guy who is willing †o go out of his way to answer any of my questions. We're so lucky to have a course like this in Chico!!!
Ehhh....
This was a beautiful day for golf. The tee boxes were not useable, Big dry patches in middle of fairways. It was the worst I have seen this coarse.
