About
EagleSticks Golf Club tumbles across gently rolling farmland situated just outside of Zanesville. The constant up-and-down characterizes the course from the rolling fairways to the undulating greens. The total elevation changes amount to more than 100 feet. The hilly terrain is adorned with pristine forests of oak, maple, ash, oak, and walnut trees. Cascading waterfalls can be found throughout the golf course as well. There are scenic views everywhere but don't let that distract you, the challenging layout requires your full attention. There are 90 bunkers strategically situated along the fairways and greens. It's not particularly long at 6,500 yards from the back tees, it's a golf course that instead favors accuracy over power. The par-5 11th is EagleSticks Golf Club's signature hole. Starting with a daunting downhill plunge, there is a creek that splits the fairway and a stream that runs alongside the left approaching the green.

I have seen the course in better condition but still high above others in the surrounding area. Heavy rain for a few days before had left many of the bunkers flooded and a few other soggy areas that you do not typically see here. Outside of that, fairways were plush and greens were immaculate.
Friday Night Swingers
This event was awesome, especially for a non-golfer like myself. It was well organized. The staff was just great before and after the event. There was no pressure, and even though we had no idea what we were doing, we were treated with the same respect as the regulars. Food was great as well. $65 for two people with golfing and dinner? C’mon, I can’t get dinner out for two at that price.
Great time at a great venue with a staff of great people.

Classic course that's worth the trip to Zville
My friends and I play Eaglesticks once or twice a year. It's a beautiful course that presents challenges - yes, even from the "senior tips". The course is always in very good condition. Today fairways were hard and fast, some bunkers were in less than great shape, the greens were reasonably fast and true. Staff and facilities are great. We look forward to our play here every year and recommend Eaglesticks to anyone looking for a classic Ohio course.
The only thing we wish was different on this review was you only being here once or twice a year! We hope to see you more often, as we enjoy the opportunity to serve you!

Great Course!!
The course is beautiful, I must say. This course challenges the average golfer, yet allows golfers the chance to score low and get a few birdies. The fairways were awesome, even though it has rained a few days straight before my round, the course was still wonderfully maintained. Even though I had struck some bad luck and totally got rained out on only the 3rd or 4th hole, the staff member was gracious enough to give me a rain check due to course closing. I plan on playing again very soon!!

Unbelievable experience
Eaglesticks remains one of the best and most underrated options in the state. The course Is a great challenge - and can play much longer than the published yardage due to the extreme elevations. The staff - from the pro shop to the restaurant and beverage cart are some of the friendliest and most welcoming I've encountered. This course offers a great experience!

Fun and challenging
Eaglesticks is course where you need to bring all 14 clubs in your bag and be prepared to use them. Par five nos, 11 and 18 are signature holes. Several par four holes can be played with long drive and short wedges or lay up and accurate wedge play. Par three holes are up or downhill and have sloping pin placements. Staff here is excellent in golf relations and the 19 th hole is the right place to end the day.

Hidden Gem!!
Eaglesticks is nicely tucked into the hills of the city of Zanesville, OH. We had perfect weather the day we played 36 holes. However, we have had an unseasonable amount of rain this spring and came in expecting a soggy course with cart path restrictions. The course maintenance staff had the course in excellent playing condition and no cart path restrictions.The set up of the course provides a fair challenge, with most holes providing considerable risk/reward. Pro shop and 19th hole staff were very hospitable. Just over an hour east of Columbus, OH, Eaglesticks is a must play for all levels of golfers and nature lovers!

Eagle Sticks Staff
I have been playing this course this spring. While the course is challenging but fair. It is also in pretty good condition and the pace play is very good. The best part of the playing here is interacting with the staff, most particularly Kelly and Tyler. I really enjoy being able to take a few minutes before or after my round and just talk about golf. Sometimes the course, the PGA tour or my game. These guys are willing to do that and I really enjoy it. They are really nice personable guys. I wish them the very best.

Beautiful and fun!
We play this course quite often despite it being an hour and twenty minute drive because it's a beating and fun course to play. We also have played in a couple nine hole couples scrambles that are help periodically on Friday night. This event is fun and laid back and then they feed you ! How could you not want to play in that! We also have meet some awesome couples and hope to play in some future event. Stan & Teresa

Potential! But slow! 3.5 stars
This course has so much potential to be great or is on the downside after being great. One of the few courses within driving distance of Columbus that offers true undulation throughout. The greens are tough but fair and the course has many great spots.
Now for the rest of the story… The course in general, not including the bunkers or some of the greens, is in decent shape. Anybody that calls it “PGA like” has never seen an actual PGA course or even a higher level private course. Fairways, in general, are well cared for.; but the tee boxes do not give the upscale look or feel, and many are not level. The bunkers are a complete joke with weeds growing in them and no sand. While sand isn’t cheap, the lack of attention (weeds!?!) to these is very unfortunate and embarrassing. A couple greens have disease as well that has taken over. Driving range has no distance markers. Not sure why.
The overall value, however, is pretty good. But be prepared for an extremely long round on the weekend. Six hours? I’ve never seen anything like that, not even in a large format scramble. A ranger did come around (not until hole 11) to ask how things were going, but pace of play needs to be seriously attended to. The course is unique and I would recommend it to somebody, especially due to the price; but just make sure the expectations are not of the photos that you see on the website. Staff was great and it could be a gem with some more TLC. With the rain and cool nights of late, there is little excuse for courses not to be in pristine shape as the conditions have been perfect for a great bent grass grow . It’s just not there yet. But still worth it to play.

A great day!
3 of us played Eaglesticks for the 1st time this year. We had an outstanding day. The weather was great, the course was in excellent condition and provided plenty of challenge, and Kelly Morrow and his assistant Tyler could not have been friiendlier or more accomodating. Eaglesticks is at the top of our list for courses to play when we travel southeast of Columbus. We are returning in 2 weeks for another round.

Fun day
Course is fun and challenging. Kelly is very friendly and helpful. Good food. Only reason I didn't rate excellent was that driving range wasn't open that day and there has been lots of rain early in the year.

Wyatt's first
Had my 8 year old son out for his first 18 hole round. It was a memorable day and he pitched in on 14 from about 40 yards! It was a great day, staff was very friendly in the pro shop and the restaurant. We will be back!!

Absolutely enjoyed the round of golf. Beautiful course and challenging holes. Fairways looked like a PGA course. Staff was extremely nice and very helpful with advise for first time players. And will be traveling from Dallas to Ohio again Sept 2019 to play the course again.
