Oakbrook Golf Club

About
Located less than an hour from Seattle in Lakewood, Oakbrook Golf Club is one of the area's hidden gems. Opened in 1966 as a private club, the course opened its doors to the public in 2012. The course is known for its smooth, firm, and fast greens. The 6,700-yard layout plays both narrow and long but it is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. With hundreds of mature oak trees scattered throughout the course, accuracy is key. It's a course that rewards strategy rather than raw skill. One of Oakbrook Golf Club's toughest holes is the par-4 seventh, which you'll have to play from below since it's sloped steeply from top to bottom. The downhill shots and doglegs will put golfers of any skill level to the test.

Great course
Really nice course, great pace of play. Challenging but not frustrating.
Nice conditions
The fairways were all green and the course was in really nice shape
Good course depending on what you pay
I booked this course on a "hot deal" on Golf Now. From time to time they offer discounts, but if you pay full price the green fees are a little higher than many courses in the area.
The course is well maintained and offers a good variety of holes. I play lots of courses in the area and it is probably more challenging than most. The greens are well maintained but are fast with lots of contours.
I play with a group of friends, so my golf usually entails both a round with dinner and/or drinks following the round. The restaurant has a great menu and appears to attract not only golfers but locals as well.
If you have not played it, I think you should give it a try.
Beautiful course
Beautiful old school course that I believe used to be private. They post that they encourage a 4-Hour round and we did it in less than 4 hours.
Oak Brook course
The course was in great shape. The greens are lightning fast. The pace of play was really good. We played in 4 hours. The only issue I saw was some sand traps had hard sand. Meaning the club bounced instead of digging into the sand. Otherwise terrific.
Beautiful and fast play
I've been wanting to play this course since I saw it on Google Earth and it looked beautiful. The course emphasizes a 4 hour round and we were under 4 hours. Course is beautiful and we enjoyed happy hour.
fun round
first time golfing here, course was in great condition, greens were moderately fast, not a lot of elevation change, made walking nice.
A Great Time
Friendly staff. Course in great condition. Greens were fast and some fairways wide to test your driver distance.
Restaurant was really good and prices very reasonable.
Only negative thing was riding carts still gas powered, but ran good.
