Tahoma Valley Golf & Country Club
About
Located just 45 minutes southwest of Tacoma, Tahoma Valley Golf Course has garnered a reputation for being the driest course in the Puget Sound. The course boasts well manicured greens that putt fast and true. The greens showcase the best of the Northwest's undulating, bump-and-run golf. Its location provides every hole with a stunning view of Mount Rainier. Just shy of 6,000 yards from the back tees, it's not an especially long layout but it is narrow enough to present a challenge. The wide fairways are forgiving, making it player friendly enough for beginners, and there are enough challenges to please high handicappers as well. With an abundance of mature trees throughout, Tahoma Valley Golf Course demands accuracy. The par 3s are particularly memorable for both their views and level of difficulty.

Drive a little, save a lot
Nice open course for a quick 18.. Usually not crowed, easy to get around and easy to find your next hole.
Great value
I was a single. Got there early and played through 3 groups that were kind enough to let me through. 2 hours 27 minutes later I was done.
Tahoma Valley
Fun course. The pace of play was good. Friendly staff. Nice course to play.
Nothing special
Can play pretty fast. Nothing special, usually the cheapest option which makes it worth it
Course was weak!
Tee boxes where too close to greens. Greens were small and not manicured around them. Almost got hit by a tee shot on previous hole. Tee boxes were not flat on a couple of holes. Will not go back!
Great fairways
I had never played this course before, and it was great! There were a high number of switch backs, but most fairways were separated by tree lines which made it easier to keep the errant shots on the correct hole. Overall the pace of play was pretty good with a crowded course. Will definitely play here again.
Not impressed
There are a few things I dont like about this course, the 1st thing is, there is no driving range available, I usually warm up with the driving range so from the start I wasnt happy. The course is in a very small area so there were a lot of switch backs, we always had people from other holes on our part of the course. No trash cans, ball washing stations, or bathrooms on the course. I feel it was a bit over priced. 44 for the round with a cart.
Friday golf
The course was busier than usual. Even so the players kept pace and we never had to wait.
Staff was great and had a good time
Enjoyable
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good course for beginners. Has a couple holes with some distance but mostly straight fairways across the course. I had a to travel a little to this course, so for the price I’ll stick to courses that are closer to me unless a hot deal pops up on the app. If you live closer, the monthly membership looked like a good deal
A real value
Pretty easy, straight course. Fairways are fairly narrow, however finding the rough can really hurt for the thick healthy grass. I've always been impressed with how smooth and fast the greens are even in winter. GREAT VALUE. 19th hole has great food too!
