County needs to step up
This course was in rough shape sad to see the county letting this course fall to the wayside. Fairways were long and like hitting out of rough on normal course, rough was more like links course making it hard to find your ball just off the fairways. Greens were mostly damaged and I could put better on my own lawn at home.
A Little Bit Of Chaos
I picked an early tee time to get a quick round in. There were many people in golf carts just sitting off on the side of the course at different holes. They had golf bags in their cart so don’t know why they were just sitting there. Also some golfers don’t know proper etiquette when you are playing.
Great course, but it’s a little tight.
The Browns Lake course is very nice and the price is good as well. The course is well maintained. The rough is a pretty tall and you can easily lose balls in there.🤣🤣 The fairways are a bit tight, so if you tend to hook or slice, practice yelling fore before you come. Almost got hit six times. Balls come outta no where!! Likely because there are several blind fairway shots.
Overall, great course. Will play again.
Good bang for buck
Very affordable for what you’re getting. The staff was extremely nice and even gave the rental set for free! The greens could use some cleaning from the bird poop on 2-3 holes, and 1 hole didn’t have a proper green made yet.
Besides that the course was really amazing had a blast and some very fun holes.
Challenging layout but fun to play. Course in general is in great condition and the greens were in superb condition. The best we’ve come across. Kudos to the people taking care of the course.
Beautiful Browns Lake
I have been coming here since the 70s as a young teenager with my father and uncle. Both of them got a year membership. Since then I have come out here about once or twice a year. Most of the time the conditions are way better than expected. I like the layout a lot. The suspension bridge is always a highlight. The holes are spaced very close together so you better keep your head on a swivel. Lots of golfballs crossing onto other holes. The staff here is great. Very friendly and made you feel welcome. Great food in the clubhouse as well.
