Inniscrone Golf Club
About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

Hole 13, back of the green Photo submitted by Edward3574350 on 12/20/2012
Fun Course
Greens start of decent and get kinda beat up througout the day.
The course layout is fun and i would say one of the more interesting courses in the area. Pretty difficult course for the most part. One of the holes i can't remember which but the tee shot is down hill with a fairway that goes up and down multiple times. If you hit the ball in the middle of the fairway there is a good chance it kicks right and is lost forever.
Worth trying at least once for the experience.
Third time playing this course. Once was a charity outing. This time some greens mostly on the back nine seemed to be damaged from a fungus. Some holes especially #10 very difficult for seniors and high handicappers. I will play in the charity outing near the end of August..
Great course
Great course, it’s short under 6,000 and tighter to other greens but it’s so much fun. Will definitely come back.
Tee boxes were pretty chewed up, greens were not bad. The course conditions were not as nice as I've seen it in the past, but still a very nice course.
Great course
For a beginner it was a great course. However, my friend who plays professionally said it’s a okay course a little expensive for course conditions. Also lies are difficult for a course of the public nature. Not sure what that meant. I loved the course overall and will definitely go back to beat my score.
Terrible conditions, awful smell
I used to play inniscrone alot with my buddies when it was 27$ on a weekday. Its 54$ to play during the hottest part of the day on a monday. The driving range is in terrible shape, barely any grass to hit out of. The bunkers are basically clay and gravel and 50% had standing water in them. The course smelled like sewage from all of the drainage issues and standing water. Absolutely not worth the money. Every green had fungus growing or was burnt/bare. Terrible conditions. Do not play here.
Great course
Great course, in great shape. Most tee boxes are clean, tough course but fun.
Golf shop staff great! Starter not so much.
Wasn't a busy day and it was very hot and the starter had a very bad attitude. He was very nasty to our group. It left a bad taste after the golf shop staff couldn't have been nicer.
This is an excellent course with some extremely difficult holes...these tough holes will keep you honest.
Overall rating - Excellent!
It was very hot this past Sunday...however the beverage cart girl showed up every time we got thirsty...the beverage cart girl was extremely friendly and accommodating.
I will soon make this course one of my top 5 to play...just moved and Inniscrone is only 25 mins from my home...hope to play it often.
