About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

Much improved
My second time playing here this year and the course was in great shape. This is still a hard course for a high handicap golfer like me. The greens were in the best shape I have seen them. The course is still pretty wet in a lot of areas, and you really have to place the ball in the right spots to score well. There was no crowd at all and we played the back nine seemingly by ourselves.

Wet
We played at noon after a week where there was minimal rain.
The course was notably soggy/wet/borderline unplayable in many low spots on the course.
Of course golf courses need watering, it seemed this day that they were over-watered significantly.

A challenging course for any level player
Well groomed course at a reasonable price. All aspects of your game will be tested here. From the long length of the holes to the strategically placed obstacles to the at time’s extremely undulating greens, your A game is a must to score well here

Terrible pace of play
Got very backed up behind a group of 6 for a birthday party, long wait times between holes, people getting chippy, overall extremely unpleasant

Great track.
Quality layout in really good shape. Surprisingly soft fairways and greens. We figured they were anticipating the heat. No role. Everything else locally hard and fast.
We got a deal through golf now. Value was awesome. 12 minute tee times, no issues with pace.
Such a good layout. Deceivingly long. Lots of elevation changes.

Challenging but excellent course
Had a great day; cool for August, threat of rain never materialized, though rain prior left conditions soft and a bit wet in spots. This is a fascinating course with a wide variety of holes, ranging from near links-style to narrow and tree-lined. Some par fours play very long, others not at all; quite a few "carry" shots and some are blind. But a very interesting layout. I had not been here in years, but with the elevation in Gil Hanse's reputation, I wanted to try it again. Glad I did, and I will come back.

I said first time playing because it's been about 15 years since I played. Fun, challenging course in great shape. Enjoyed the conversation with the starter and the tips he provided. Soft, fast greens were awesome.

Challenging holes
Speed of greens very inconsistent. Players need to repair ball marks better, just like every other course I play. Will be back again. Usually play here a couple times a year. Never disappointed.

Challenging diverse layout
Not a beginners course. Fell into disrepair for several years but is currently in very good shape. Rarely crowded due to difficulty must play from the correct tees. If in doubt move up. However, even from the front short hitters may be overmatched on several holes.
No 2 holes are alike. Good mix of short and long 4s. Overall greens are in good shape and roll true.
Large practice green. Good grass range but recently restricted to irons only. All golf, very few amenities.
