About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

Something different.
Love this place. One of the coolest, unique designs in the area. Wish it still had some of its older features, but I get it. If you’re looking for something different that’s not cookie cutter or a Cheesecake Factory golf course, give this place a try. Great routing, variety, green complexes, and different looks you won’t see at many other public courses
in the area.

Tough but good
I enjoyed the layout, allowing it to be played in many different ways by every skill level. I enjoyed that it requires some strategic course management to score well. For a public course, the conditions were very good/excellent with good, firm and fast Greens. Great value for this design early in Gil Hanse’s career.
Advice: Front easier than back.. play it forward to enjoy it more, especially on the back. Happy Golfing!

Tough but fun
Tough course for the first time around. Alot of elevation—hitting up and down at fairways and greens. Some blind shots to greens. Ball above or below your feet quite a bit. Greens were fast but true.

Better than expected
Course is sloped a lot. Tough if you don’t play it right. Clubhouse attendant was in a mood and not very friendly. Probably the only bad part. Tee boxes need some love but that’s every public course.

Great Conditions with a Few Exceptions
It had been a couple years since I’d played a Inniscrone and today I was pleasantly surprised by the good conditions. With the exception of a few tee boxes and unraked traps, it was fantastic.
The greens were true, the fairways in great condition. We checked in at the clubhouse and went right to the first tee and hit our drives.
No starter. No receipts. Very laid back.
A guy on a tractor screamed at us for not paying attention to cart path only on the third. We did not see a sign and took our cues from the group in front of us. But that was the only hiccup.
Had to wait seven holes to pass the threesome in front of us but we never put a lot of pressure on them to waive us through.’
Lots of fun holes and beautiful views.

Greens were fast
Was worth the money. This course is a challenge. Make sure to hit it short at times. The course greens are fast and unforgiving. Make sure to be mindful of your short game

Pace of play was brutal
Scheduling was awful, group of 16 on the course that all showed up late and were able to go off whenever they wanted.

Definitely was a private course prior
If you can work your irons….this place will be a blast.
There are greens on slopes that allow you to hit a spot short with rolls and be on it. On several holes you actually don’t aim for the green unless your grooves are new and you can control the spin rate.
Can’t wait to go back now that I realize the trick shots here

Getting better and better
This is a tough course if played from the golds or tips. Long, hilly and soft. Rough is ankle deep already, so stay in the fairways. Greens were furry but in good shape. Very few easy holes.
Overall the course is in great shape. A few tee boxes are chewed up and could use some help. Cart drivers need to stay out of the mud and help the green keepers out. Better to walk this course and enjoy a great workout. Try it.

Have been playing this course for over 10 years and this is the best shape I’ve ever seen the course in.. always a great layout..,

Long Par 4’s
We’ve played this course before and it’s always in good condition but it’s not easy to score because of the long par 4’s & we play from the whites! And the last two holes are really tough bc of the tree lined fairway (17) and elevated green (18) and at that point, we don’t have much left in the tank!!
