Inniscrone Golf Club
About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

Challenging test of golf
Course is in excellent condition. Phenomenal blend of unique holes with varying degrees of difficulty (#17 is most difficult par4 that I face on a regular basis).
Tees BACK?
Decided to play a tee box back today. As we all know, most courses move their tee forward from what’s posted on the card. Inniscrone had them back! More holes then not were 20+ yards back. It was fun to see a course I’ve played dozens of times from a different perspective. The card had the gold tees just over 6200 yards, felt easily 6500. Even the tees I usually play were all back. I’ve never come across that before.
Been hot this year and the course had some burnt edges, but nothing that affected play.
Some new cart paths were a pleasant surprise. Definitely needed on 18. Cart path use to go straight down the left side of the hill towards a creek. Now it goes to the right, in front of the back tee boxes then back across to the left to the bridge over the creek.
The course layout is demanding
For some strange reason I enjoy playing this difficult course. The course has a lot of blind tee shots. Long par 3,4,and 5 holes. The day I was there the crowd was not bad so the pace of play was smooth. Our foursome cruised through in about 4 hours. The course was in get shape. The greens were fast and sloped in all kinds of directions. I would not recommend for a beginner golfer, there is to many variables you got to take into consideration. It’s a very challenging and difficult course that I embrace the challenges. Throughly enjoyed and would go back again!
A very challenging track
Especially for older golfers. The back nine is really a challenge to reach the greens.
Great for price
Paid $30, don’t m ow if I’d pay more. Good course, great shape, greens challenging, but good public course
Ken
I love the course layout. Lots of elevation change. Course conditions were very good.
Good Value
good value for what your paying. Tough course as well. Great overall
Inniscrone
Great course for value. Little different in getting a cart the driving to the club house over the bridge. Course is challenging, lot of holes you have to carry to get over hazards. If the course could have been cleaned from (sticks, leaves, twigs) would have be 5☆ will be back tho!
Inniscrone
Good course. Back 9 was very challenging. Very hot out too.
Love this course
This has become one of my go to courses. Staff is great. pace of play has never been a problem. And the conditions are always better then other courses in the area.
Turn off your sprinklers
I know it's been hot and dry, but there shouldn't be standing water on the course. If the dialed back the water some the course would play better.
Worth the trip
Course is in great condition. Couple tee boxes are rough- but they’re the boxes you’d expect in the trees. Fairways are great. Greens are perfect- rolling fast and true. If you’re considering it. I would make the trip!
Always Fun
Course is in good shape. Pace of play was okay fun layout and challenging for all skill levels.
