Wildhorse Golf Course

I love playing this golf, the fast greens, trouble spots left and right of fairways and the pace of the game. Price is reasonable and the staffs are very friendly.

degree of difficulty is very appropriate for a double digit handicapper like me.

The course was great. My teatime was at 7:28 in the morning and the wind was howling. Other than the wind, the course is in great condition the fair was a beautiful and the greens were pristine. My only concern was with the staff friendliness, the man working the breakfast grill was not friendly at all, and the man working in the pro shop didn't even say thank you for purchasing anything. It was disheartening knowing that we were two of 10 people out there before 9 AM, and they were still completely turned off by the fact we were there. Overall the course was great the fairways were clean the teeboxs were clean and the greens were beautiful.

Links style, difficult fairways. Forward tees are very forgiving for beginners.

Traps were strategically placed to get in the way of the average golfer so you have to make some decisions or hit 'em straight! Water buckets available @ every 3 holes so you can keep hydrated. It's a pretty flat layout but there was some decent space between T boxes so to walk it would be a chore. Well worth the $20 and a 20 mile drive on a rare hot deal.

First time I have played this course. Nicely kept up and pace of play was nice. I will play again.

Too wet. Foot prints and spike marks on the greens. Short putts are unpredictable.

This course is in very poor shape. The staff I saw on the course to maintain it were parked hiding behind trees relaxing. Fairways tore up, tee boxes not taken care of and overall poor upkeep. Even the men's bathroom in the clubhouse, sink clogged, smelly, door open and trashed.
I have not played this course in a number of years and noticed it has changed for the worse. I will not be returning in the near future.

The greens need attention, especially from golfers - too many aren't fixing their divots. Shame on you all!
Because of the greens, I rate it average for conditions. With a more responsible clientele, it'd be rated ;good'.

Nice course but a little slow for early afternoon.

Great course conditions except some bunkers sand packed like a brick. Other greens were slow but very true couple greens had some damage. Three hours and 45 minute round of play. I Would recommend this course to immediate and above golfers .

I've always loved this course, challenging but not totally discouraging. However, I found the course condition is not at its best, lots fairway holes and the greens were scars everywhere.

I played WHGC very early on a Friday morning. Was able to go out a twosome with another single. Played in less that 3.5 hours partly because all the early groups were fast.
Greens were pretty scuffed up, with lots of unrepaired ballmarks and scars from ballmarks not correctly repaired. Greens were not consistent, some recently tightly mowed others a bit rougher, but greens overall were pretty good.
Tees and fairways were in great shape.
Course itself was a good challenge. This is not a wimpy muni course but it is also not a killer pro course. I think the key is to play the unique aspects of the holes. Some have out of bounds to one side and free drop zones on the other. So it really helps to play with a local (which I did this time as opposed to my first round there)

Nice course with some good points. Though the course was sparsely attended in the afternoon, we ran into a foursome and the pace of play bogged down from there. It turned into a 4-1/2 hour round after flying through the front in less than 90 minutes.

The greens are a bit rough and slow. We may have caught them before mowing. Lots of ball marks (repaired two or more on each green that weren't mine). Sand in bunkers is very thin so better to pick ball clean than blast out.

Number 18 is billed as the most challenging in the valley and it is. Not sure I like it. The percentage of players shooting a 4 on this hole (its a par 4/5) has got to be extremely low and the hole can be a round killer.

Friendly staff, good practice facilities, and a great value, with $27 twilight starting at 11:30 am this summer.

The course overall was in pretty good shape. The greens were extremely slow. The Tee boxes need to have work done on them. You practically had to get a jack hammer to put the Tee in the ground. Overall it was a pleasant day and I will return

I've played here many times. It is not a long course, but it is interesting and in good shape. If you're a long hitter, you can leave driver in the bag and hit lots of mid-irons on par 4s or decide to bust out the driver challenge some short par 4s in a risk/reward trade off. A few holes (5, 15, 18) are quite difficult and some are there for you to score on. When the wind picks up some shots are very difficult.

The value for your money is very good. The only issue is that with that value the course draws a lot of players who are really there to drink beer, play slow and have no idea of golf etiquette (driving carts right up next to greens, leaving lots of ballmarks) and there are never any marshalls in sight.

Overall though it gets 4 starts for the quality of the course you get for the money. I'll keep going back!

The overall condition of the course was in good shape. The ground in the tee box area was so hard that I had trouble inserting my tee into the ground. Finished our round in 4 hours.

Overall very good course to play with some challenging terrain - water features, environmental areas, and bunkers. The only drawback is if you find yourself in a bunker, the sand is hard packed and almost impossible to get out of with a normal bunker stroke. Must be chipped out. Other than that, greens are is great shape, and beautiful course with lots to offer.
