Nice course. Very challenging. Sand traps could use some help though.

This is the best $80 course I've ever played. I'm not from around here so desert golf was unique and enjoyable. This course rewards accuracy over distance. It is not a long course but punishes errant shots. Greens were some of the most difficult to read I've played. They are small and fast and don't look tricky but reading speed and break was difficult. Because it is such a good value, it gets busy so I recommend this course at any non prime time if pace of play is important to you.

Very interesting course with great views. The only weakness is that many of the bunkers are dirt, not sand.

Why? Why? Why? Are there tons of rocks in the Bunkers?

Why? Why? Why? Aren’t the bunkers filled with enough sand to actually call them a sand bunker? I get the madness of sand flying out of the bunker, but that whole course is against mountains and it’s not that windy. Put your grounds people to work on this!! Such a disservice to golfers on a wonderful course. I get the hustle of a guy wiping your clubs on the 18th hole, but shouldn’t he ask?? Overall staff is blah poorly trained.

Easily worth double what we paid. Played in less than 4 hours, never had a bad lie, and felt that the course was as good as any $200 track around.

Very scenic course. Nice layout with challenging holes. Some local knowledge helps on a couple holes. I will definitely play it again.

Great course. Some challenging holes. But made small work of them. Pace of play was as fast as I could hit !!!

I played Arizona National in March 2023. The course conditions were very good. When I played recently, most bunkers had not been raked in sometime and they were like hitting off hard pan. The rough was too high as it looked like it had not been cut down since the over seeding. In most cases the rough was 3 inches high. On a few occasions we could not find drives that were 2 feet off the fairway. Greens were fine. They need to get out and maintain the course take the bunkers and make sure there is adequate sand in them so they are playable. As a minimum, the rate should be reduced to reflect the current conditions if they are not going to maintain the course in the Fall.
