very challenging, interesting layout, good condition

As in other courses near Sarasota, my major complaint is the USGA rating, which is so long that you have no chance to maintain your handicap, even if you play well. This course is another handicap killer. I chose to play white tees and failed to break 90 (greens and green complexes were tougher than most courses I have played). If I played the shorter tees, I could have scored much better, but the rating is low that the handicap would be crushed regardless. Overall it is a very challenging course with an interesting layout, good amenities, and decent value. If that sounds good to you, give it a try!

Good round except…….

Played here several times and the course is always in great shape. Today the greens are ok at best. Looks like there is some green funk going on. Many greens are spotty and painted to cover the brown. They don’t hold well and are stupid fast.
