Heron Creek Golf and Country Club - Creek/Oaks Course

This was my first time booking a tee time at Heron Creek and was surprised at the condition of the course and friendliness of the staff. I highly recommend this course.

Except for a few greens the course was in excellent shape.

I play Heron Creek often. The course is always well maintained, the pace actively monitored by rangers, the beverage cart visits frequently, etc.

But the real draw is the people. On this occasion, I mistakenly purchased a hot deal for Saturday, but came to play on Friday. The staff quickly adjusted and paired me with a twosome. Terrific save on their part.

Another plus is that I’ve always met nice folks in my playing groups. This round with two young, Christian men was a complete joy. As I said, seriously friendly at Heron Creek!

Amazing course, conditions are always on point very well maintained and the staff is super nice and always attentive!

My wife and I tried Heron Creek for the first time last week and I must say it was a fantastic experience! From the cart staff helping you load your clubs in the cart to the overall cheerful demeanor of the staff in every aspect, we knew it was going to be a great round.

Every hole was plin perfect condition from the tee boxes to the greens and every lie was like a lush carpet to hit your ball from.

The flower beds and fairway border vegetation provided a broad range of beautiful sights with all cart paths in excellent condition.

We thoroughly enjoyed our rounds at Heron Creek and we'll definitely be back. Thank you HC for a very memorable experience!

Even due to the Florida extreme rain event we had great time finished the first nine.

But due to ponding water and lofting shots sinking out of site on the greens we thought it better to come back and do the second nine and was refunded the back nie hole!!!!!Staff is amazing and the food was great.

I booked as a single and planned to play as such. A last minute arrival forced a pairing and moving to 1 cart. Both of us seemed a little put off by these policies. Then God showed he had other plans for us.

We had the most amazing day of fellowship and faith. Conversation was easy, topics flowed from “where are you from?” to childhood imprints so freely. Along the way, we also played golf. It was a wonderful 4 hours with a stranger turned to friend. This is what the game of golf can do!

Course is in great condition and greens are in great shape. Price is very reasonable

The course is well maintained and in great shape however, being micromanaged by course “rangers” takes all of the enjoyment out of our round. Their rule that shirts must be tucked in at all times is the most childish of them all. When heat indices are well over 100 degrees, having an untucked shirt helps ventilation and keeps golfers cool…especially given the fact that there is no ice on the course. Additionally, we were a foursome with a threesome in front and a threesome in back. We did our very best to try and keep up with pace of play but it’s almost impossible, then throw in a beverage cart stop. We were constantly watched and reminded most of the round even though we were putting when the group behind us were teeing off. We felt like we were being treated like children.

We really like the course BUT, it will be a while before we return. Advise to staff…let the golfers play. We get pace of play and dress code but if a shirt is untucked, leave us alone.

Although it was cart path only which caused slow play the course was beautiful and everyone I spoke with was very friendly and well trained for their position. I will definitely return to this course.

Course condition was in great shape. Previously played in March. Always a challenging layout.
