Heron Creek Golf and Country Club - Marsh/Creek Course

I booked as a single and planned to play as such. A last minute arrival forced a pairing and moving to 1 cart. Both of us seemed a little put off by these policies. Then God showed he had other plans for us.

We had the most amazing day of fellowship and faith. Conversation was easy, topics flowed from “where are you from?” to childhood imprints so freely. Along the way, we also played golf. It was a wonderful 4 hours with a stranger turned to friend. This is what the game of golf can do!

Course is in great condition and greens are in great shape. Price is very reasonable

The course is well maintained and in great shape however, being micromanaged by course “rangers” takes all of the enjoyment out of our round. Their rule that shirts must be tucked in at all times is the most childish of them all. When heat indices are well over 100 degrees, having an untucked shirt helps ventilation and keeps golfers cool…especially given the fact that there is no ice on the course. Additionally, we were a foursome with a threesome in front and a threesome in back. We did our very best to try and keep up with pace of play but it’s almost impossible, then throw in a beverage cart stop. We were constantly watched and reminded most of the round even though we were putting when the group behind us were teeing off. We felt like we were being treated like children.

We really like the course BUT, it will be a while before we return. Advise to staff…let the golfers play. We get pace of play and dress code but if a shirt is untucked, leave us alone.

Although it was cart path only which caused slow play the course was beautiful and everyone I spoke with was very friendly and well trained for their position. I will definitely return to this course.

Course condition was in great shape. Previously played in March. Always a challenging layout.

Worst customer service. Will mot recommend this place!

Course played well even with the rain. No standing water once the rain left. Greens looked and gamed well.

The condition of the course was very good. The could use some hole maps at the tee boxes to depict the layout and water or other hazards. Especially #1 of the Oaks course. We need off in exactly the wrong direction. But we had fun.

Well maintained course. Plant of challenges, but every hole is fair other than a few of the greens. Would definitely play the course again and again.
