We had a very great day at this course. We were paired with a Newfoundland couple, very nice people. The course conditions is great, green xtra fast……
Nicest I’ve played in three months
I’m a snowbird, been in Florida 3 months. By far the best course I’ve played. I play 3-4 times a week…Davenport area for 6 weeks, Sarasota since March 21.
Course is not for the weekend warrior…lots of trouble, hard / fast greens, lots of break…most are elevated and guarded by bunkers and or H2O. Great scenery, challenging layout. I loved it….playing partner found lots of sand!!!

Pace of Play
On a day that was already overbooked they let 2 singles out in front of us who were members. Pace of play was already slow due to very large lady groups who had played in the morning according to a ranger. We paid our money to play so do not know why they would stick 2 singles out in front of us on 1 and 10. We were actually a threesome and they could have joined us rather than further slow down play

Course was in great shape. Staff helpful and friendly. So nice to play a course where the houses really were never in play. Lots of wildlife to see. Had a great day. Would definitely play again.

Great Experience
Herron Creek is a fantastic tract that’s different every time I play. With three 9’s they’re able to mix it up and make it exciting and fun. I play there often during the season and the members are as friendly as their staff. I’ve never met a nicer group of rangers and starters in SW Florida. This is a great course that should be experienced.

Favorite Course in the Port Charlotte area
Love the course layout and elevations. Greens were in rough shape for this course but we still had a fun round. One of the few courses locally where you can consistently pull the driver out and the water holes add just enough to impact your club selection.

Rude ranger
I booked a round here so my son and I could enjoy what I consider to be a very good course. The problem came when a ranger approached our foursome and started screaming at us using vulgar language claiming we were holding up 10 groups in back of us. This was right after we had to wait for 2 groups to clear the tee box. My son was upset at us being unfairly singled out as we weren’t very far from the group in front of us. He was visiting us for one week and what I hoped would be a high point of the week instead turned in to the low point.
