About
DeBary Golf & Country Club, a Lloyd Clifton-designed course sits on hilly land. The layout is fascinating. No two holes feel similar. Only two holes have water, but there is significant sand. Dense woods of pine and evergreen border the fairways. The rolling fairways and natural layout give the golf course a Carolinas feel. The par 5s are all in the 500- to 550-yard range. The par 3s are all approximately the same distance, running 180 to 190 yards from the back tees, and 150 to 160 yards from the white tees. DeBary is one of the few Clifton golf courses that do not top out at more than 7,000 yards.

Punched and sanded greens
Had no idea the greens were in such poor condition when I booked this tee time. Greens were recently punched and sanded. Staff did not mention it when checking in, no offer of remorse. Won't be playing here again anytime soon. Terrible!

course is beat-up by rain storms
Rain washout is everywhere, fairways and t-boxes are rough, some areas are dangerous, deep channels. They are trying to repair but it is wet and it will take some time.
Greens are good and fast, good shape for rolling them true.
What Is It Callled.....
How do you rate a course where you pretty mixh liked everything but the 10some!!! Yes 10some as in 1 2 3 4 5 6 6 7 8 9 10 people playing in a group infront of you? And the staff was aware of this.
The course was in solid shape. Fairways were ok. Greens were fast and fair. Traps were maintained. Range and putting greens available. All in all thr course was solid. But 10somes should not be allowed during peak golf times.

Enjoyed playing there again been a long time
The course layout is great, lots of standing water everywhere, but we are in Florida lol. Had good time with friends and will return.

Nice Challenge
Debary Golf Course is a great place to challenge your ability to control your golf ball. The greens are in perfect condition,. If you are looking to sharpen you skills, I recommend playing this track.

Course features some challenge
A few soggy spots in the fairways but all in all, course was in good shape. Some pin placements made putting a little tricky.

could have easily been 4.5 stars, but it was overbooked.
The course was nice but there was no starter. our 10:30 tee time didn't actually begin until about 10:47 due to a late start by 10:20(a very slow group of 4) and a twosome that got squeezed in. On top of this, another twosome jammed in behind us, the entire day we were both waiting on others and had others waiting on us. it was a struggle to get out of there within 6 hours or play a hole that didn't feel rushed. very unpleasing, the course was nice but the pace of play stumped it.

Poor Fairway condition

What greens?
Greens punched, sliced and sanded. Would have been nice to know before booking. Don't know if I should thank Golfnow or DeBary for wasting my $$

Fairways, in general, are hurting
DeBary certainly has an interesting layout, but conditions of the course do not measure up to what they should be. Mainly the fairways which, in places, have minimal grass.
Tees were good and sand traps well maintained. Greens had recently been aerated, so hard to comment on their condition. Overall, DeBary is not as nice a course as it used to be, which is sad.
