About
DeBary Golf & Country Club, a Lloyd Clifton-designed course sits on hilly land. The layout is fascinating. No two holes feel similar. Only two holes have water, but there is significant sand. Dense woods of pine and evergreen border the fairways. The rolling fairways and natural layout give the golf course a Carolinas feel. The par 5s are all in the 500- to 550-yard range. The par 3s are all approximately the same distance, running 180 to 190 yards from the back tees, and 150 to 160 yards from the white tees. DeBary is one of the few Clifton golf courses that do not top out at more than 7,000 yards.

Needs help!
Fairways were not in good shape. Very little grass. Greens need work. Best part of the course was the tee boxes, they had grass. lets hope they figure things out before it is all lost. The overall course is to old not to have around.

Started bad and went down hill
The starter was pushing us to join a twosome ahead of us. I was playing with my wife and we had space not to join them. The foursome behind us kept hitting into us and pushing us. Sorry to say but a nice day on a nice course was ruined by old man behavior. Rude treatment all around.

Rude and pushy
We arrived early for our tee time and while we were on the first tee the starter rode up to us and told us to hurry and catch up and play with the twosome ahead of us. There was a group of 12 behind us and he didn’t want us to create slow play. We didn’t even have a club out of the bag. The first 4 of the 12 group came up behind us and hit into us. They did so on every hole though it was clear that the clog was the multiple groups of seniors ahead of us. Of course the starter didn’t address the pathetic slow play of the seniors ahead of us. We played 5 holes in about 2 hours and left.
A warning : be careful booking formally private courses that are now open to the public. You are not really welcome.

Very disappointed
Pase of play ridiculous. Followed a 5 some place was definitely over booked. Took over 2 hours to play 6 hours. We left. Would have been dark b4 we finished so we left. Tee time 2:00. Terrible experience

Tee box markers.
The only thing that bugged me was tee box markers to small and need re-painted.
