About
DeBary Golf & Country Club, a Lloyd Clifton-designed course sits on hilly land. The layout is fascinating. No two holes feel similar. Only two holes have water, but there is significant sand. Dense woods of pine and evergreen border the fairways. The rolling fairways and natural layout give the golf course a Carolinas feel. The par 5s are all in the 500- to 550-yard range. The par 3s are all approximately the same distance, running 180 to 190 yards from the back tees, and 150 to 160 yards from the white tees. DeBary is one of the few Clifton golf courses that do not top out at more than 7,000 yards.

Nice improvement!
Played here many times in the past with conditions not what they should be. Very happy to report the conditions today were greatly improved. So nice to see such a great layout returning to its old glory. The work is continuing and more improvements are being made. Greens are fast, fairways and tee boxes are in good condition. This is without a doubt one of the nicer kept courses in the area. Can’t wait to return!
Pace of play!
I gave this course another shot. First time pace of play was horrendous. I swear they book multiple groups at the same time. Happen to me again. Three groups which seemed back to back. I was a single player, group in front of me were beginners but never let me pass. Great course but the pace of play is not it unfortunately.

Not a relaxing round of golf
Some of the staff was alright, others were not the course police were driving around rushing you along, other players on the course were driving into us make sure you stay within the 13 minutes per hole they give you, don’t stop at the turn and get lunch either you’ll be behind schedule, they act like it’s a course at Disney and it’s no better than glen Abby accross the street for half the money, will not be going back, and would not recomend!

Excellent Layout. Greens were fast . It was nice to see all the improvements to the GC. All the bunkers were redone including new grass around the bunkers. The holes were also framed with a crushed recycled stone product and had pine needles around trees in some holes. The improvements showcased the golf course. Nice to see money being put back into the course. One hole had a damaged green. Could be due to the shading of the green by surrounding trees or winter damage.
Fun round
Very enjoyable round. The course was in pretty good shape, although they are doing a lot of work.
Love the layout, very fair but really challenging going after the greens. That was a lot of fun!

greens fast a lot of walking for course repair from hurricane this was no problem over all very enjoyable
OVerall, good condition, but lots of repair work being done, Tough greens.
Quite a few holes had new sod that was off limits, so somewhat limited the challenge (you could hit in a fairway bunker, but if mark as under repair, got a free drop in the fairway - not a true test). Found the green very fast and a tough challenge (most holes struggled to 2 put). TO the course's credit, they are trying to repair recent hurricane damage and the part of the course not off limits was in pretty good shape.
a lot of good improvements going on , they do not affect your golf much.
Course in Nice shape
Greens were slow but the maintained tee boxes and fairways more than made up for it !

Lots of sod repair that is taking hold. Greens in great shape.
Played Saturday AM. 5 hours and ranger said that we were on pace.
Has potential
Course had a lot of damage from excessive rain so it was hard to give it a great ranking. Will play it again to see if course improves once repairs are finished.
Recovering Nicely
This has always been a fun layout that is still recovering from Milton. Some damaged areas that are being repaired. Bunkers and aprons are being rebuilt and sodded. Greens were good.
It’s clear they are working hard to fix the issues created by the storm. Well done!
Getting better
The course is been made some really good improvements. The greens are rolling good, need to be a little bit more grass on the fairway ,tee boxes good ,we drove from lake nona area ,definitely worth the trip and we will be back
