Good day.
Course was wet due to previous rain. Greens were slower than usual. Spring golf in Chicago land.. generally on good shape. Bunkers need sand.

Cold but fun day at George Dunne National
45 degrees and sunny today and the course was in good condition for early January

Busy day at a nice course
Unbeknownst to us, today was "customer appreciation day" at the Dunne, so 18 holes with cart was only $19 for anyone. No wonder the GolfNow hot deal was at $16 - which is lower than I have seen it at this course. That coupled with a 1 1/2 hour frost delay at the start of the day, really had our 12:20 start pushed back, and a very full golf course. We started just before 1:00 and finished just before 6:00, so a 5-hour round, plus the delay meant we spent 6 full hours at the course - more than expected. Course can't be faulted for frost, however, and I understand that you have to push the golfers out as quick as you can so it will be busy. As always, course in great shape except for sand traps on a number of holes. Green not fully recovered from aeration, but putted fairly well anyway. So can't complain too much. You can always expect at least a 4 1/2 hour at George Dunne, it just takes a while. The course is challenging but fair. It helps to play the proper tees for your handicap, or it makes for a really long and frustrating day.
Frost delays are always a pain. Pace of play is a big item on our list this year and we will do everything in our power to keep the pace up. I appreciate all the nice things you said about the course and keep an eye out for more customer appreciation events in the near future
Great course in great condition
We played just before 8am and knew it would be Carr path only bc the course had just gotten 2.5 inches of rain in the previous 2 days. We were lucky to even be able to play. Course was very wet but extremely playable and greens were great. Great course. Great Day!

First time player
Course was in excellent condition. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Beer cart came around often. There is a $20 hole in one challenge for the make a wish foundation.

Great staff and challenging layout. Pace of play was great for 8 holes and poor for the last 10 holes.

Challenging course with lots of bunkers and fast greens bring your A game
Great course design
This is a Dick Nugent Design . He did a great job of using the lay of the land and all the lakes. You really have to think you way around this course not just tee shots but second and third shots too. You don't really ever come by another golf hole or fairway you just wind though the forest . I love this course. It is a cook county forest preserve course so they don't have the budget that I would like them too But Billy Casper golf does a great job of management .

Nice course design no 2 holes next to each other. Perfect weather day so course was I great condition
George Dunne does not disapoint
I played this course 3 times in the last 20 years and it continues to be a great and attractive test for golfers of all skills. Very good conditioning and nice to have a beverage cart on a September weekday. I want to play again!
Pace of play is awful.
If you finish in 5 hours consider that a fast round.
I understand the frustration of a long round of golf. We are working hard on keeping the pace of play up so please give us another shot.
Been a long time since I olayed this course
It has been ages since I played here, really didn’t remember it. If it wasn’t for the traps which were flooded, it would have been a great day. Granted there was a bunch of rain the day before. Staff was great, pace of play good too. I will be back!
